Ok guys I want to get an adapter to stepmania. Here are the choices I've found.

http://www.redoctane.com/dualusb.html
http://www.levelsix.com/detail.aspx?ID=102
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=161&products_id=255&likref=bemanix
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=161&products_id=1697&likref=bemanix
http://www.buynshop.com/productinfo/45/VG-PS-USB2X1/

So post any information or experiences you've had with these adpaters. With luck we can simply point people to this post if they have adapter problems in the future.

Also, that second one down on the level six site. I danced on one of their pads a while ago when I was on like 3 footers. But now I need something to handle much harder songs. If anyone has bought or used one, feedback would be appreciated as to how it is on higher songs or anything of that nature.

Aight start talking people!

I can only speak to this one, as I already have in this thread I previously started:

http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85970

I had terrible delay problems with this adapter that make it unusable for me. It seems from what I have read that this may only be a problem if your OS is WinXP. Good luck finding an adapter that actually works well, I'm still trying.

As a counter point, I have had absolutely no trouble with the Lik-Sang Boom adapter.

I'm running two on my Windows XP box, both using Ignition pads.

Well, all I can certainly say that the "PS Joy Converter" works incredibly well with my redoctane metal dance pad. It is atomatically detected and installed in windows xp and can easily wrun under win 95/98 with the included driver disc.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with my Lik-Sang Boom adapter with my RO Ignition 2.0, my CF, or regular PS2 controllers. The delay mentioned by a previous poster could be a software or even a USB issue, but I have been overall very satisfied by the product.

I heard something about USB v.1 causing some delays and that upgrading to USB v.2 (either with a new motherboard or a PCI card with USB 2.0 ports) can help solve delay problems.

I use this. Works great, is cheap, and doesn't bind to axis anymore contrary to all the nasty rumors and stigma of the BNS adapter.

I agree with the BNS USB, it connects two pads into one USB port and works flawlessly every time. Someone else I know had to keep changing something cuz his adapter wasn't directly supported by XP I guess which really blew, but mine is awesome. I have used it with ignition pads / soft pads / and Cobalt Fluxes both plugged in at the same time, truly great.
And its black.

The reason people talk bad about that adapter is probably because it looks close to another one that doesn't work.

Btw I use the EMS, it's awesome because you never have to remove your other controller. I also had a boom, NO problem there, but one of my Boom converters broke.

Over all both BOOM and EMS are fine converters, it's up to personal preference.
