Chairmat mod are for cheaper softpads w/o inserts. |

No actually thats wrong. the chairmat mod is for the ignition style pads. what you do is put the chairmat over the foam insert inside the zipper with the spikes spiking into the insert _________________

I bought some from them earlier this summer and thought they were good. But (probably like any softpad), after a few months they started showing problems and after about 6 months of use (maybe 5-6 hours/week) I replaced them (They were still very useable but often had sticky steps or ghost steps problems and it was kind of frustrating).
I now have the Mymybox 3.0 (the ones he sells are 2.5b) and I find them noticeably better so I would suggest getting those instead. Actually, someone else recently posted a review of 'Voltz' pad purchased on eBay and they look IDENTICAL to the Mymybox3.0 (I suspect they are all rebranded pads from the same factory) so I would maybe suggest those because of the price (I think they were $30US for 2).
Hope this helps, Mike |

All I can say is never get an Intec brand pad. Some of them don't work with a PSone at all even though they say they work on both PSone and PS2. It will still work with PS2, but will wear out fast. They start out super sensitive which is good, but overall the are horrible. Anyone thinking of buying one because of their price, don't. Plus I just found DP2R pads for the same price at another place so.... yeah don't buy Intec pads. _________________

All I can say is don't buy from buynshop.com if you value a decent phone bill... First off, no 1-800 number, so you're now coughing up whatever long distance is for ya... Myself, it's skyhigh, seeing that I'm in Canada.
Second, you're more than likely going to have to spend the equivalent of a total of an hour at least on the phone with them... Because they seem to LOOOVE to put you on hold.
Third, if you order anything more than just pads... Heh, expect problems... So far, I'm at six calls to their customer service... The two pads they sent me died within three weeks. That and I ordered DDR Konamix with two DX-Ultra pads... They only sent the pads.
And I just (thurs) got the replacement covers, DDR Konamix, and the pad adapter.... Which, having ordered Jan 22, 2004... Is waaay too long. Oh, and I get to call them, BECAUSE BUY N SHOP APPARENTLY SCREWED UP ON MY FEDEX SHIPMENT.... I just got a bill from FedEx on Thurs for $38.21... Excuse me, but isn't that WHY I PAID $54.95 USD FOR SHIPPING???
Sorry, just really had to vent... That and warn anyone to be cautious with dealing with them... _________________

From what I've heard over in the Ultramix thread, it's $10 more, and has connections for PSX and Xbox. _________________

I was planning on doing tommy gun's mod to my pads. What do you guys recommend for the clear plastic? I'm trying to keep the price down as low as possible. |

Alright, I've halfway modded my pad. Its mounted to half inch plywood and came out very nice. I am justifying whether or not to put the hardwood floor covering on. It matters how well the pad will hold up with shoes with the covering. If I am warned against using shoes then i will keep it the way it is. Anyone have an opinion on this? |

Hi I am new to DDR and I bought Ultramix and Dance Pad Revoultion X. I have a question about the pad. There are two memory card slots at the front of the pad(Heh I guess thats what they are)..I would have thought you can plug the xbox live microphone in these but it is impossible to insert. Are memory cards even able to go in there? Ok That's my question thanks...
I have been playing DDR every other day for about 3 weeks and I am slowly getting up to C and above on all Light songs..It is something I must practice because its so fun..Just think I use to laugh at DDr players and think it was stupid until I played it ...Now it is what I do in mornings followed by situps and pushups / shower...
Ok thanks for reading, I am new and was just wondering if It's possible to talk to DDR players online ^^^ |

Agh!!! I've had my RO Ignition 2.0 pad for almost 3 months now, and last Monday I had to have a small surgery done on my leg, which caused me to not be able to do any physical activity for a week. Over the weekend, my little brother went to spend the night at his friend's house, and I let him take the pad with him. Today I thought it would be okay if I went ahead and played, and long story short, the down arrow only registers about 1 in 6 steps, and the little square insert that's under the four arrows to keep them "raised" has slid up and to the right on the down arrow. Is there anything I can do to fix this? @_@ |

My down arrow is kind of broken, it won't work if I'm on the pad but it will when I'm off. Is there any way to fix it? If not what is the best pad out there other than those expensive hard pads and ignition pads? I would prefer something that last really long. |

Do Ignition 2.0 pads make noise on the floor below while playing?
This is obviously in reference to your petition...
And it should be mentioned that it's more related to the construction of your building than the pad itself. _________________

I need help!
Okay, here's my story:
In January, I was a newbie in DDR. I was playing on crappy 20 dollar Mad Catz pads, and needless to say, I butchered them up. I moved on, asking DDRFreak what the next best option was.. Everyone recommended me the BNS pads.. Well, I got them. And well, they were kickass. But now, I'm starting to encounter the dreaded problems people keep bringing up about them.
Well, here's the problem. When I play a song, EVEN if my feet are in the center island, it is always registering a button.. 95% of the time.. Maybe 5% of the time it doesn't. And, sometimes when I press my down button, it registers for too long, or it doesn't register at all. And when I press my left or my right, my down is pressed too. This is seriously affecting my gameplay, as I'm slowly doing cata's now. Do you guys have any idea how to fix this? Or am I screwed?? (I.E. Buy new pad) |

DarkDraco I'm having the same problem with my RO Ignition pad. The plastic insert under the bottom arrow has moved up into the center of the pad. I don't know how to fix it either Although I havent had any problems with the steps not registering yet, and hopefully I won't for a long time I've had my RO Ignition pad for a little under two months now and I love it.
Whats the longest you guys have had a RO Ignition pad last until it breaks? |
