STOP WHORING THE BAR YOU NOOB.
Just play, screw what other people say. 99.9999% of the time, the people that whine are really complaining because they need some way to justify why their scores aren't as higher as the person they are complaining about... so they come up with this righteous crusade about how they're playing the game the "right way" and suffer because of it. So they treat the object the other player is "whoring" (they always use the word whoring) like some kind of game breaking cheat that obviously the developers didn't realize would ever be used, even though it's such an increadibly obvious thing.

If that was a tournament, and you lost, and you could've used the bar and won, you obviously didn't care about winning that much.
The POINT of this thread is that the ONLY reason people don't use the bar is because of it's STIGMA. That's right. Social Stigma. Just like people don't like shopping at Kmart because it makes you look ghetto. SAME THING. You can make up excuses that the quality is lame or something, but it's not that, you want to wear brand name clothing because of the SOCIAL STIGMA.
That is why people hate the bar. You think you're better than someone else who doesn't use it? So what? They're going to use it and beat you and you're going to feel "elitest" because you didn't use it and they did. SO WHAT. They still won and you still lost.
I feel like everyone who has responded to me in this thread is totally missing my point, entirely.
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO LOOKS COOLER WHILE PLAYING DDR. YOU ALL LOOK LIKE DORKS FOR PLAYING IT ANYWAY. I use the bar BECAUSE it gives me an advantage (I lose my balance easily and have bad stamina). I used to be a bar-hater, but then realized how cool it is when everyone in a community uses it. And YES, we have some of the best DDR players in the country in this area. So what? If they go to a national tournament and rape like no tomorrow, and win, THEY STILL WON.

i think bar raping is totally now since jeff broke our bar. hahaha. i mean seriously, he BROKE THE S H I T outta that bar. he played this one tournament, and it hasnt been fixed yet, so when anyone plays, the pad rattles like crazy. he did really, really good at the tournament though. haha but kevin got more AAA's. oh well.

Aw shucks, thanks. 
The bar argument has existed for as long as DDR has existed, and I don't think it'll ever die... but I hold a strong case for it because I used to never ever use the bar and shunned people who did. 10 footers in DDR opened up a whole new world for me...

heh, never argue with us people from the northwest about the bar  I know one of the better players in the Northwest doesn't use the bar for the majority of the songs he plays, but when it comes down to a song that he feels it's necessary, he uses it just like everyone else (i saw him recently AAA daikenkai oni, the first half no bar and the second half with the bar)

My freind eric is a bar raping whore he does every song bar raping no matter how easy or how hard it is.one time we were doing PSMO and I got a C without the bar and he got a B with the bar.heres what he said quote"haha you suck"unquote that pissed me off especially when he cant even do a cata without the bar. If you cant beat a song without bar raping dont flatter yourself your just not good enough for that song. |

I'm antibar and my IQ still plummeted from that post.
Personally, I don't use the bar because 1. it hurts my arms and 2. I'd just rather play without it, but I don't care if someone uses the bar or not. |

this one guy was doing this song, its under the "K" section of Extreme, and its just 1 little symbol, anyways, n standard, there is this huge pause, were you gotta run around this part of the arcade, atleast thats what i do, and then come back, but NO! this guy starts doing all this gymasticie moves on it, and it rly made me look that a fool, but anyways it was awsome.

Even if that is in pure humor, it's still offensive.
Why is everyone so uptight about the stupid bar? If you get tired, or if you get low on stamina, go ahead and use it. Some people use it to balance, some people have a short-span of stamina and use it to help them not freaking die on the pad.
If you don't use the bar, that's great. If you use the bar, that's great, too. It's just a video game. You pass the song without it, excellent. You pass the song with it, and get a better grade, or the same grade, no difference. If you seriously get angry about people using a bar to simply play a VIDEO GAME, you take it waaaay too seriously.
All you are doing is hitting arrows with your feet that scroll up on a screen to music. If you pass it, you pass it, regardless of how you did it. |
 I mean this in a good way...that was inspirational (seriously) It is right just a game. I am only 14 and 5'8 i haven't got full Stamina once i do Max 300 without the bar i quit playing ddr for 3 hours it feels like i got stabbed lol.....but anyway very inspirational. |

err...i dont use it cuz its awkward and im not used to it and...i dont wanna?
using the bar makes it easier. period. maybe u did win but it was easier.
still, nothing wrong with using it, even on easy songs. if u wanna use it, use it, just dont say that its the same. |
