My parents are divorced, so my dad plays the buy-me-whatever-I-want card a lot. Well, he is offering to get me a japenese PS2. I'm just wondering, is this a big money waste for an imported system that I will only play about 7 or 8 games on? Then again, he only gives us money when we go somewhere big, or when he has to pay haly of what my mom spends on me for cloths, food, doctor, etc.
But we are going to Washington D.C. this summer, and should I save the money he gave me for the PS1 (he will get that, but offered the PS2) and take it with me to Washington, or buy the thing now?
I'm just wondering.
thanks!

Well, I think it is. I own a Japanese PS2 and only own the DDR Mixes, Beatmania IIDX mixes, and Para Para Paradise. It just really depends on how much you like to play these games. If you love em, I say get it. If not, you could try modding a US PS2. Other people might tell you that modding the US PS2 is the better solution, but I'm not sure if the current mods will support future games. |

i reallllllllly dont want to mod my ps2.
1) There arent very many good soldiers (sp) around here
2) I dont want to risk killing my PS2
3)still have to have anti-mod codes, i think.
thanks, though

Modding is more convenient (DMS3 for instance), but theres always the chance a game will come out that defeats the mod. Id mod instead of having 2 PS2s _________________

I bought my Japanese PS2 just for Bemani and even though I have about 10 Japanese PS2 games, I use it at least twice as much as my US PS2 even though I have 35 US PS2 games.
It's also nice having the Japanese PS2 knowing you can play any of the games that will never be released here besides Bemani. |

I don't really see any DDR talk in here. Why not try the Non-Music Games forum. _________________
