I hated EVERYBODY.
...But I gotta admit, the time and planning (though not completely intentional) that was put into this was amazing. Isn't there an Internet hall of fame for this?
(Didn't use my powers much- I don't sign on often enough to really care. Funny all the entire board was basically DESTROYED in a few hours, though. O_O') _________________

Actually, if you kept logs of mod actions from yesterday or something, that would be great. I'd love to find out how many total posts I edited or topics I moved. |
I agree, deleting the entire northwest forum and some of the "rest of the world forum" took quite a while

And I wish I would've saved a screen shot of the poll I made in the Frozen Foods Forum... Phrekwenci vs. CaffyMajin. The options were Phrekwenci, CaffyMajin, "i got 5 bucks on jsb", and Tsugaru Apple Mix. Tsugaru Apple Mix was winning by a lot when I last checked it. |
hahaha, i didn't even see that, but why was i randomly chosen?
Anyways, this was the best joke ever, i had an absolute blast, and i now have a new favorite phrase from the world filters (x likes the rooster...i saw that about a million times yesterday..haha) _________________

And all mods were a part of the prank. Even my resignation, which was real, was worked in as part of the joke.
(Of course, I didn't reveal it was real until this morning...but apparently most every mod had guessed something was up.) |

Personally, I thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS. Also I got banned yesterday for commenting that I thought it was about as funny as being anally violated by a piece of steak, but it was April Fool's Day so it doesn't count. What did you do last year? I forget, but I think it was at least as funny as being anally violated by a piece of steak, if not more so.
Also I will AAA Freckles someday. Hopefully soon. _________________

That happened to me as well, but the install prompt came up and I denied it. It only came up once for me. |
this still wasn't explained to me from what I saw on the thread... I want a good explanation as to how you thought this Sh!t was funny, Cause I didn't appreciate having to kill the switch to my comp to avoid further installation. _________________

the elaborateness of this plan is so amazing. I wasn't following DDR Freak when it all started but I heard about it from a friend.
The whole Bemafia thing really got on my nerves but as long as it was a joke ill get over it. _________________

Do you seriously think we would subject everyone to spyware as a joke?
Nice faith. Thanks.
When J Dogg put the ads back in place (after the last spyware issues he removed the ad banner altogether rather than subject people to spyware), he did so with the thought process that there would be no further spyware from this ad host.
Unfortunately, there was a single ad that had spyware and that single ad (which just happened to start showing on April 1st) is what caused your problem.
Download Lavasoft's Ad Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, they will clean the spyware off of your computer completely. The items it will find are Bargain Buddy, N-Case and eZuLa (or a combination thereof). _________________

No, it was not part of our joke. We believe in good fun, not assaulting your computer.
You should get some anti-spyware software, or anti-virus software or something. _________________

It wasn't part of the joke. Our ad host had once again thrown another goddamn spyware banner into the rotation. IguanaGrrl complained about it before anyone else.
It cropped back up later in the day but it seemed to be broken that time. _________________

Lol, how could you actually see what people were doing (particularly what they were posting) when it got changed every 20 seconds ? It was actually kind of fun to moderate for the "forces of good."
