why are certain songs selected for certain versions of Dance Dance revolution?
Xbox is most popular here in the US, is that why ultramix has so many R&B tracks? it's hard to argue, hip hop and R&B is what sells nowadays. Maybe thats why... Appeal to the audience
Same Q. for all other versions... _________________

Uhh... I assume you mean that Xbox is more popular in the US than anywhere else, because it is surely not the most popular US system. Everybody I know practically has a PS2, but only one or 2 have Xboxes..... _________________

According to sale records PS2 is the top seller in north america, followed by gamecube, followed by X-Box.
I personally own a Gamecube, X-box is NOWHERE NEAR the top selling system in the US, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. |

Back on topic, the thing that makes me mad is that all the US mixes tend to drift toward liscenced (sp?) songs. I actually predicted Sandstorm being released but Ordinary World? At least make the song be sung by the original artist. (BTW I'll give 5000 points and a 1up to any one who can name the original band who sung Ordinary World.) Then when Max 2 came out they had Days Go By and Love at First Sight. Liscenced songs are not what DDR is about. DDR is about Naoki, BeForU, Smile.dk, RevenG, Desire, and our lord and master, Captain Jack. Just an opinion. |

Figgy, get your facts straight. Total units sold go GBA, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube. Gamecube had higher sales figures for a few months after their price cut, but it's still far behind XBox (at least last I heard, which was a month ago [through January]). Though if that's changed in the February sales (March sales aren't posted yet, obviously), feel free to drop a link and correct me. Also, GBA has PS2 by a mile (though it's not a console).
Also, I know pretty much everything by Captain Jack (absolutely everything?) is licensed. And I was under the impression that anything by Smile.dk is as well (at least Butterfly is, not sure about Dancing All Alone).
But yeah. KO's all the way. Pretty much all my favorite songs except R&P and So Deep are KO's. Though there are a few licenses that I have a soft spot for. |

Captain Jack and Smiles. DK are real artist so all their stuff is licensed (why would only some of it be ) _________________
