Most likely admin... or major database corruption. |
Oh yeah, how do you make negative posts then?
Premarital Sex: I saw that quite a while ago when I was browsing through the Intro thread in Chit-Chat, but I thought I was just seeing things....guess not. _________________

I guess "database corruption" is a logical impossibility to you.
Okay, here's my explaination on admin powers... It might not be inherant to the board itself, but if any of the admins have direct access to the SQL database the board runs on (either by phpmyadmin for mysql, or through "console" mode (aka telnet or SSH, although very few ISPs give such access to servers)), he can simply edit them...
But, I repeat, it could also be database corruption... _________________

Maybe this is what happens when someone deletes an account? |

They show up as guests when their account is deleted.
Mart: I doubt anyone has access to the SQL database beside J Dogg.... _________________

J Dogg doesn't have remote access to any part of the server. He would have to visit the colo facility personally to do anything. |

about negative posts and no-foot:
this seems to be an error after we had that prune a while ago... some users went away and hadn´t posted in quite a while, so when they come back and their accounts somehow remained active their post-count goes crazy and they lose their foot
I don´t know what causes it, though _________________

Gerald | No. It looks like it's not a first for them. How 'bout you RTFM.

.....leave it to the guys in Syracuse to do something funny like have a negative post count.
(I'm from Syracuse, but I don't know which one of the people there did that) |
