I use the bar, but only on hard songs like Max 300 or Cartoon Heroes. I don't call it "bar raping" 'cause it sounds like it's a bad thing that you use it. Why not just call it "using the bar"? |

The endangered Delmarva fox squirrel (Sciurus niger cinereus) is a subspecies of the Fox squirrel (Sciurus niger) which occupies a unique niche within its ecosystem. The Delmarva fox squirrel is a large (0.8-1.4 kg weight, 581 mm length) tree squirrel with an unusually full tail. This subspecies is predominantly a light steel-gray color with a silvery, black edged tail. The Delmarva fox squirrel is often compared to the Gray squirrel (Sciurus niger neglectus). The Gray squirrel is smaller, darker, and face, tail, and feet are red in color. The Delmarva fox squirrel has different physical features than the Gray squirrel such as round short ears, a stubby-neck, and white feet.
The squirrels also differ in behavior. The Gray squirrel is primarily a tree dweller. The Delmarva fox squirrel spends considerable time on the ground where it is commonly observed several hundred feet to two miles from the nearest woodlot. Shy and quiet, Delmarva fox squirrels are generally less agile than Gray squirrels, and escape danger by running across the ground rather than up a tree.
A necessary consideration of the Delmarva fox squirrel's existence and survival is availability of food. The Delmarva fox squirrel feeds on the crops of agricultural fields, especially corn and soybeans, the squirrel also feeds on nuts, berries, and roots.
Populations of Sciurus niger vary from year to year depending on variables of weather, the effects of disease and predators, and abundance of food particularly that suitable for winter storage. Typically observed in low densities, 0.35 to 0.39 squirrels per hectare the populations may be adversely affected by reductions on numbers of only a few individuals. _________________

I don't rape the bar too much. Then again, I'm only on Standard, so I guess I wouldn't really need it yet. I try to do everything by foot. Makes you faster, and better and less dependent on the bar. _________________

Check other "bar rape" topics for Konami's reason for the bar if that question comes up. |

The bar isn't exactly the best mode of safety they could've come up with. It's like a foot wide. _________________

No, it was there for safety, even though I end up hurting my foot in it all the time, and I never fell backwards.... so it's more of a hazard than anything if you ask me.
I don't know why people say that you can reach a conclusion, it's simple. The bar helps, you might need to get used to, but it helps. And if you'r tall, it helps even more. (One of my friend had never passed max300 nor maxX because he was playing no bar, then he tried one day for fun because the pads were too slippery since he didn't brought shoes with him and played in socks instead of boots. He tried only once..... FC max300 and A maxX. If the bar/socks didn't help him, he's god )
Anyway, some things you might need to get used to, but here's a list of thing that helps:
- The bar ( need less stamina to pass song, can move feet faster and keeps your balance )
- Mods ( usually speed mods, solo, etc. helps your PA by making the song more readable and also giving you a bigger visual window " The timing is the same, but on the screen, you can step even farther of the arrow bar and still get perfects )
- Song whoring ( makes you learn the song and you won't be surprised by any part )
- Socks ( It can help by removing the weight of your shoes, but without the bar, it can be hard to keep your balance since it slides more than shoes.... and screws can be painful )
- Ghost steps ( It helps you keep the beat of the song and not be catch off balance when there's a long pause with no steps )
All those things helps your score on a song, but you might need to get used to it. Example, I'm way better with my feet than my fingers on SM.. why? I never play on SM But instead of taking me like 3 months to pass max300, it took like 3 days.
Btw, all of the above are just facts, now for my opinion
You can play like you want, but you can't compare let's say a bar raper with a non bar raper, because it's not fair. So technically, a AAA with the bar, isn't the same then without. Same with mods or song whoring, etc.
So yeah... that's it _________________

Using the bar though can also build the biceps in your muscles when you apply enough force from gripping the bar. |

Its funny when people say holding the bar "looks bad".
Non bar users generally do hard 10 footers, and have to fling their arms all over the place to maintain balance, as well as leaning the top of their body forward. They end up looking like epileptics on bricks.
At least when holding the bar, your arms are in a fixed place, as is your body. _________________
