Hello all you DDR fans.... I'm new to the hobby. I just bought a PS2 DDR Pad from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3085971262&category=21188 check out the link. Anyways, I also bought the USB PSX converter http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3085971264&category=3677 check out that link.
I have Delight Delight Reduplication on my PC. I can play it using my keys, or number pad on the keyboard. BUT... I cannot get it to work with the pad. Do you see my frustration? Any help, tips, would be greatly appreciated. I went into the settings of Delight Delight Reduplication and messed with those as much as I could. No luck.
On a site (I was searching for drivers) I found a "driver" called joy2key. It is basically a program to help setup an N64 or PSX controller on your PC. The thing is, when I detect my "controller" which is my DDR Pad, it finds it with this program. It says, "Click Left" so I step on the left arrow. It REGISTERS. Then it says "Click Right" so I step on the right arrow. It registers. And so on for the other two arrows. So... I can see the Pad WORKS... just not with Delight Delight Reduplication...
Any feedback would be wonderful. Should I consider buying a different version of DDR? Is there anywhere to download a trial/free version of DDR?
Thanks alot... |

I'd try a program called StepMania
its vastly superior to reduplication, and my pad worked with it when it wouldn't work with others. |

Stepmania is an amazing DDR simulator. www.stepmania.com then go to the stickie at the top on where to get songs/how to put songs in etc.
Good luck with the DDR! _________________

you also don't have to worry about compatability issues with song files because stepmania is just awesome that way. You can also get different announcers and there are a lot more options that you can modify the song with. get it. It's awesome. _________________

That pad is going to be broken before you know it, but that adapter should work with StepMania or DWI. I don't know much about Delight Delight working with the pad... |

To get your ps/usb converter to work, hold up, start, and select for 5 seconds and it will switch to dance mode, so you can play DDR with it. _________________
