My best guess is that your friend is overweight and has refused to go on any diet plans, so his mother pays him to play DDR.

But thats only my guess, you never explained why she pays him.

Maybe she gives him $5 to spend on DDR, rather than giving him money as incentive. He'd have to be quite the fatty for his mom to give him $25-$35 a week (plus or minus weekends), $100-$140 a month just to play DDR. Can you just imagine a mother forcing her son to play five rounds of DDR against his will? "You're gonna do LoM and you're gonna like it!"

laugh.gif LMAO! That's going in my sig!

And yeah, as said before, your friend is probably overweight, and his mom is hoping DDR will help him lose weight.

The only way to play DDR is if you love the feeling.

If you have other reasons apart from that... you wont make it far in this game.

I've heard stories of crowds in Las Vegas that watch people play DDR and usually pay them to see them play more. That would be awesome. I've never been there though. I should go...

I don't think that you actually lose weight from DDR unless you actually keep playing and playing until you feel like you're going to pass out riiight.gif Because my little brother is a tid bit over weight and he tries to lose weight while he plays heavy songs and it hasn't been very effective for 3 months, and he doesn't play to a point where he's really really sweating drool.gif

Yeah, well, see, that's just not true. DDR does make you lose weight whether or not that is the goal in it for you. Your brother does not play enough if he doesn't play until he is sweating fairly heavily; that's the only way to play if you're serious, especially if one is overweight. I play, and while it hasn't made me lose weight, it's made me lose tons of fat, and it's given me heavier, more useful muscle.

Back on topic, however, I've only been payed to play once, and it was only like $4.50 in quarters, but I was glad to take it. My sister was once in a large arcade with a large breasted companion, and the manager gave them free games as long as the other girl kept playing! laugh.gif

I've never gotten paid before. frown.gif The closest was when some people in the back of me were saying "Let's thrown money out!" Because they were amazed by "standard" skills. blink.gif

Although I did get a little kid to pay for me (1 token for 3 songs) about two times..heheh I said I didn't have any tokens left..then I had to leave. blink.gif
