any help for me? E2.gif

I didn't add lights to my pad, so can't help you there. I built my pad pretty much according to riptide's instructions except I have 2 pairs of metal plates on each side, and I play on my pad with shoes (though with slim bottom to feel the pad better).

From what I've read, people are printing out the arrows (in printworks it seems, since they are quite big). I myself didn't use arrow graphics, but shiny blue and red paper instead and saved myself the trouble of going to printshop.

Altough, if you want to add lighting, be sure to not use too thick material for arrows, or the light won't shine through too well E1.gif.

Hope I helped a bit at least.

Anybody know where I could find the cheap $5 playstation controllers. All of the links come up empty. How does the lexan go in? Is it a square or do the sides have to be cut? Anybody know another place where I can get the videos other than at digitaltorque.com because they seem to be always down, or at least when I check.

I finished my frame today. I was wondering why when i step on it, it feels like the sheet metal isnt on the plywood tight enough. Idk why i think i screwed it on pretty well. Anybody else have a problem with that?

you can add push buttons like Riptide's design.

you can print your arrows on normal paper and it works fine. im not sure how well light would shine through high quality glossy paper if your pad is lighted. i used the proper clear plastic stuff (im not sure what its called) because it was avalibe to me. im not sure how much it costs to buy that stuff but if you want a glossy finish with the lights designe then i would recomend it.

Peace Out:)

you can add push buttons like Riptide's design.

you can also add corner arrows to the Riptide design, because each arrow/non-arrow panel is constructed independent of the others.

Hey im gonna make a metal pad over the summer but the thing is im making it for my XBOX. Does it work the same way as a PS2. Plus which design is cheaper, better etc. I also saw on Riptides website on the comments he said the pad was a fake is that true and does his design still work.

Yes, it works exactly the same. The only difference is the type of controller you are using with it. I have a PS2 controller, but I also have an XBox adapter, so I can play any of the games.

Ok you could use reg. paper but i found it to hard to cut it to size (ie to thin) so i used thicker paper and it looks great.

here are the pics of my pad: (sorry about huge size)

I didn't put that peg board in the corners and i have 2 1/2 in gaps on each side of the weather stripping...should i try making 4 on each side and maybe cutting out some of the duck tape on the corners to hold the sheet metal down?

if your using screws for contacts, i suggest you unscrew it until is high enough so when you tap it the panel can touch the screws. If your using riptide's design with the mending brackets, put more washer in to make the mending brackets higher. I also suggest you take away some of the weather strip.

would it help to tighten the screws that hold the arrows together that go through the brackets? I think the harder they are screwed in the more is squishes the weather stripping down...the more it will compress easier
