This episode of Arena on G4TV started of with a DDR tournament. I watched it today. Of course the players sucked because they are a bunch of First Person Shooter freaks who wouldnt be able to move their buttocks (not to mention dance) to save their life! Well... there was this one guy who owned Hysteria... he was cool... BUT WHY WAS HE ASIAN?! Couldnt he have been white or indian... or even better black... I would like to see a black guy own DDR on TV!

P.S. I am having trouble making this picture in my sig work... can anyone give me the proper code?

Not sure if this has been mentioned.

E! has the show "Wild On:" Well this episode is of "The Land of the Rising Sun." It pretty much just covers Tokyo. Anyways, DDR was on there. It showed 3rd mix. The host (not Brooke Burke but a guest host) failed the song. I just saw it on the preview of what was going to be in the episode so far, so they may show more about it and actually talk about it as opposed to calling it the "latest craze."

They went to the Konami arcade. There were 5-6 different machines. Looks like they had Disney's Rave and then 3rd mix, and probably some of the older mixes. Then they Mary talk about some different things. She mentioned that some kids do knee drops. So you can tell that it's slightly dated E13.gif There was one guy in an orange jumpsuit they kept showing that was facing away from the screen and doing pretty good.

It was a very basic explanation of the game. It didn't even say something like "Step on the corresponding arrows." It also mentioned that you can "find these machines in the states" or something like that.

I heard "Heaven" on the radio for the 13th time in 3 weeks today. They overplay the song on the stations here...but now I'm reminded of DDR when I hear it. happy.gif

A carrer fair was held at our school today and one of the classes was Amination.

In the first presentation the speaker had a show of student's work all put together in a four minute segment.

In one part a student put Mario on the DDR machine. Mario was facing the "crowd" (since there was none) and holding onto the bar and dancing like crazy.

Ok, don't know if this has been mentioned, or if it truly pertains to this topic...but I got a huge kick out of this...

"Lost In Translation" (a movie, for thoes of you who haven't heard of it) takes place in Tokyo and the lead girl in a scene visits an arcade there. I was so surprised to see right off the bat a guy playing (very well) Pop 'N' Music, then right behind him was a guy playing Guitar Freaks, right next to him was a guy playing Percussion Freaks, and then behind him you could see the corner of a DDR machine! I thought that was so cool that they showed all thoes games in one scene. And they showed the lead girl looking intensely at the games, so the games were shown up close and in depth. I thought that was super cool. Although I didn't like the movie too much...

idk if any1 has noticed this, but during the chase scene in Paris in the movie "the Bourn Identity" The song Ready Steady Go is playing. That song is awsome. Oh, and my radio station played Captian Jack yesterday, and the TV channel G4 did some specials on DDR. Oh! In and episode of King of the Hill, bobby was playing DDR in japan, or was it Korea? I don't remember, the important thing was, he was playing DDR in an Asian country
