Something I've wanted to ask for a while, but procrastination prevented that notion.

Who is the best stamina player (doesn't use the bar for any song) on these boards?

JSB was on these boards for a small while. I don't know how AIJ is in stamina attack, so I can't say anything about him, but JSB would be my best guess.

I don't think the bar should have anything to do with stamina judgement...I think someone who blows $20 in a day playing all cata's and 10's *cough* someone like me *cough* would rate well up there...regardless of bar usage frust.gif disgust.gif

Bar has everything to do with it. People are not as tired (stamina) when they use the bar.

I hate it when people assume you have crazy stamina when you can AA or AAA so called stamina draing songs. The truth is they are barely moving when they play ddr. I dont even workout or anything and I only play ddr like once a week. When I first started barely moving when I played ddr I went from puting all my effort in to bar raping a AA on max 300 with like 50 greats to AAing max 300 with 30 greats with no bar, and that was my first try. I just wanted to let you guys know that if you have a problem with stamina it has to do with moving around too much and concentrating too hard and trying too hard not that you dont have enough stamina.

Actually.. I get even more tired when I DO use the bar.

Example: Maxx Unlimited. The ONLY time I use the bar is for the very beginning, just to combo the d/r/u/r/u part. The rest of the song, I'll do without the bar. If I use the bar(I have before), I'll fail because I'd be shifting my weight on the bar and tire myself out even quicker.

I've been tempted a few times of using the bar on Legend of Max and Maxx Unlimited. The double jumps and then the quick 3 steps lined about the 2nd half of the song just give me hell. and the runs before the freeze arrow kill me on LOM. Ah well, I'll learn

I'm happy to announce that I did Max 300 heavy 8 times in a row no bar on Saturday. Sure it was all C's, but I was finally able to play and make my legs give out.

The other day, I saw a couple asian kida to all 3 Max's and Paranoia Survivor with the bar. Sure it looked impressive, but I challenged one of them to do Max 300 without the bar, he got hella winded right after the freeze. I thought that was kinda funny

well it depends. stamina in terms of how long you can last for? terms of how much you can mvoe and keep going? how little?

It'll never be agreed upon. JSB isn't a total stamina player. Now before you all tell me "well i saw him do legend road 57 times in a row!" realize this: JSB actually conserves his stamina by BARELY moving his feet AT ALL. So he really doesn't ahve the same type of stamina as someone who say, goes all out moving their feet frantically and wahtnot. See the difference?

I wouldn't say JSB. He's one of the best player in the world, but that doesn't mean he has the stamina ( he might have it, but I don't know that ). I saw his video of LOM and he uses his heel, so it's not that hard on your stamina. Heck, I passed max300 without moving much and while I had a pneumonia while using that technique E15.gif I don't know who I'd say is the best stamina player though.... E19.gif

Yes, you do rate up there. But when it comes to stamina, someone who can do that without the bar would be ahead of you. you don't get as tired when you use the bar.
