Hi I am running a Super Dual Box (see below)
I tried mapping it to Stepmania but it registers it as "Joy1 Left" I did the Up/Start/Sel.

hold start + select + up for at least 3 SECONDS.
If that still doesn't work, then you got an old-style Super Dual Box that is incompatible with DDR. |

To be more technical and less superstitous. Go to Control Panel/Game Controllers and select the appropriate usb adapter (top/down = 1/2) and click properties. If the adapter is in dance mode, when u press any directional arrow, the joy axis will move and a button will also flash on. If the joy axis is the only one that activates, then do the up+start+select code. Make sure stepmania ignores joy axis and you properly mapped each step.
A less technical way. When you start stepmania and configured the keys, if you can't navigate thru the main menu with up and down step, dance mode is off. Code up, and you should be all set. |
