Yes, I have a Cobalt Flux. No, I am not a rich kid. I work hard for my money. So yeah, CF is the best there is. Sorry poor kid.
Perhaps it's not an issue of being poor, each person has their priorities on what is more important as far as where their money goes and some people have more important things to do with their money than buy an expensive dance pad.

For some people, Cobalt Flux'es are NOT the best out there. People who don't have the same type of pad presence get thrown off because CF's are completely flat. They can't find their footing on raised part of the pad because there isn't one.

I took a Naki soft pad, and ripped off the top plastic, and the bottom foam, leaving me with the black sensor lines, and the control box thing. I duct taped them to a piece of cardboard, and duct taped some foam cutouts to make the arrows raised.

Go Ghetto pad mods! ~worships the god of duct tape~

I wish I had some pics of my pad...
I built an exact replica of the arcade pad, right down to the accuracy, rail, panels (kinda, they're slightly thinner), and LIGHTS!!! You guys got nothin' on this one. Oh, and I also put the vacuum tube around the wires E1.gif

The fact that the CF is perfectly flat, shouldn't matter. The pad is solid as a rock and has great "feel" to it. And if you don't know where your feet are going, why play the game?

Because some people just don't have enough coordination.
You'd be suprised how uncoordinated people can be. I know people that have stared at steps forever and just play by looking at they're feet.
So yeah, CF's aren't the end all be all.
Some people rely on feeling the metal outsets around the panel to know where they are.

I love my official konami pad. i strapped it down using a pitterpanda mod, except i bought some carpet protector that is the full size of the pad. very nice.

I bet it still moves 20 feet after every songs and still crumbles up into a ball when you try MAX300...

(point to sig)

What's really better than a CF anyways?

a home-built pad. (but not mine, mine sucks)
and anyways, how the heck would the pad crumple into a ball if he/she modded it? Just because you have the most expensive pad out there doesn't mean you have to be arrogant.
