Once again Xiayu has no clue what he is talking about. If I were to be my usual picky self he probably wouldn't like me saying that all that gym time doesn't mean sh*t if you can't put it to work when it counts-as in confronting people stealing things right in front of you-don't talk the talk if you can't back it up.

Talking of the past as if it's the present. I'll play your game though.
Location: Pocket Change - Arcade in Waldorf Maryland
Event: Just another day. I had stopped by after work to wind down.
Plot: Three guys come into the arcade and start making their weekly robbing runs. They are regular guests since they group up with an average of 6~15 other thugs when they go in the place mapping out what they can steal and whatnot. Well today is payday, and they start to break into the machines one by one. One of the machines happens to be right behind me at the time that I was playing a game. There are two people total in the arcade aside from the former manager, who isn't paying a bit of attention to what's going on: a former employee named Charlie and myself. Charlie and I both pick up on what's happening and notify mall security while the whole thing takes place. The guys promptly leave the arcade, but two of them get caught while the one with all the money skates out before security can get to him. The guy that gets away stashes the money and quickly returns to the scene to see what happens to his partners in crime. Now, Charlie and I are at the front of the arcade with the two perpetrators who are being held by the mall security guard, while the third stands outside of the door spectating. None of the security cameras were running at the time of the event, so the only witnesses to the crime are Charlie and myself.
Outcome #1: The guard informs us that all he can do is hold the guys if we confirm that they are the perps that robbed the place, since there is no outlying evidence. The money is already stashed and nothing can be found on the guys they are holding. The guard doesn't bother grabbing the third guy outside of the arcade because he wasn't with the other two when he arrived. He says he can't hold them any longer unless we confirm that they are the guys we saw breaking into the machine banks and stealing money. Charlie and I promptly and adamently confirm that those are the guys we saw breaking into the machines, and the mall security guard continues to hold the two perps until the state troopers arrive. The perps get taken out of the place, but the evidence isn't found since the third guy with the money wasn't in the group. The perps are released, as they would have been anyway since we've sent other people to jail before and find them right back in the area months afterwards. Now that all of our efforts are lost, the thugs then plot to get revenge on Charlie and I, and a new level of drama and violence erupts in the public place of St. Charles Towne Center.
Outcome #2: The guard informs us that all he can do is hold the guys if we confirm that they are the perps that robbed the place, since there is no outlying evidence. Charlie and I come to the conclusion that even if we convict the felons, they will be right back in our face anyway, so we make claims on all three of them being involved in the incident. They fall right through the cracks of the system since they are all young anyway, and end up right back in our friendly neighborhood St. Charles Towne Center. Charlie and I, both carrying weapons at the time even during the event of the robbery, delcare war on the thug group without them even knowing it, and start to form an anti-thug community from within the arcade. Whenever the thug group comes into the arcade, we quickly and attempt to drive them right back out, knowing they are up to no good anyway. This works for the first few weeks, until the group gets hostile and starts to act as stupid as they always do, forcing either Charlie's hand, or mine, or both. Someone ends up getting hurt bad, and security is notified. Security then sustains both Charlie and I for weapon possession, and we go to jail. The thugs that are hurt survive and go right back to the scene with their new war scars while the saga continues. Charlie and I now have a criminal record for weapon possession and assault that stays with us forever.
Outcome #3: The guard informs us that all he can do is hold the guys if we confirm that they are the perps that robbed the place, since there is no outlying evidence. Charlie and I realize that we see these same thugs everytime we are at St. Charles Towne Center, and that if we prosecute, we will not only be looked at as targets, but if the system actually works for once, the third guy still gets away, and he will come back for us anyhow. Charlie and I both take on the same story: "Those were the only guys in the back with us when the place was robbed.". "Did you see any of them taking money from the machines?" the guard asks. "...I was playing a game while the event took place, but I did hear something and turn around and those were the only guys I saw at the machine that was robbed, but I didn't see everything because another guy was standing in the way."
guard: "If you can't admit that these are the guys that took the money, then I can't hold them any longer."
me: "There was no one else back there at the time. If it wasn't them then who else?!"
guard: "Did you see them taking the money?"
It was obvious that this was going to turn into a big loop until either one of us committed and said that we saw the entire event, or said we didn't see it, in which the guard would let the guys go.
Charlie: "I was playing a game too, so I didn't see what happened, but I heard the same thing that Justin heard."
Guard: "Well I'm going to let them go since you guys can't confirm that they took the money, and none of them have any change on them so there's no evidence."
The guys get away, with the money, and no one grudges are held since no one got in trouble...not even the former manager that was on duty sitting at the front counter doing nothing.
It's obvious that outcome #3 was the best course of action to take in this event, and that's the course that Charlie and I took.
The thug problem will be reduced dramatically as of the first of next month, because public transportation to the mall will be effectively REMOVED due to all negative feedback businesses have given about it, so the problem is resolving itself, without me having to screw up my future to resolve it, or Charlie for that matter.
All things in moderation DDR mom. _________________

Was that really necessary? A full page post that no one cares about just to come to the conclusion that you go to the gym but you won't confront thugs. Oh well-and we'll see about that public transport thing-as long as people are spending money at the mall they have the right to be there-regardless of the ride that brings them in. Blaming your arcades problems on people that take the bus is a little off if you ask me.
DROP THIS-we can fight it out in person-this is a DDR forum remember-you don't even play DDR.

LOL-shows what you know-we are NOT arguing. For some reason Justin (xiayu) and I like to debate things-its no big deal-just a way to get the focus off the original posts which were an obvious attempt to try to put down or challenge PC people.

PS-just because you can't see it doesn't mean the sarcasm isn't there. LOL _________________

Because it's fun, I like the atmosphere, I like showing off and seeing all the shocked faces when I have played for two and a half hours straight and not one person, ddr freak or not, has beaten me |

I do agree that DDR is only a cardiovascular workout only. It perhaps may tone your certain areas of your legs but thats about it, but i guess everyone knew that already. Im sure no-one plays this game to buff up.
But what does it matter anyway. Depending on how you workout, Gyming and DDR are different things ne way. I do with agree with moonlight that we should just end this because it isnt really going ne where .. but i also think it wasnt an argument but rather a discussion. Probably been lowould have cked a while ago if was the former. _________________

the love of your life calmy smiles at yyour side,
You are being watched by the best DDR players
The stage is extra encore

You have 2nd wind andrenaline burning in your veins and soul,
The newbies marvel at you techniques...
Tis the ultimate dream of a DDR player...

I used to average about 8-10 hours a week on DDR. Countless hours at the arcade, and lots of arrow smashing at home. I pretty much soaked up any info I could get my hands on, and wrote a few FAQ's(one you can read here). Over the last few months, I've stopped playing, only average about 0(yes, 0) to 1 maybe 2 hours a week. Why? I just found other things to play. I re-introduced myself to firghters a month or two ago, and thanks to Katokes ~JPS~, I'm all over Initial D. Last few times I went to an arcade, I never touched the DDR machines at all.
I still play the game at home, and I pride myself in being a pretty big databse on the game, but just like other games, I just got bored with it over time. I might get back into it soon, but I doubt it. _________________
