Nearly Impossible User Made SM/DWIs.

First off, I'll admit that I'm still a DDR Newbie. I started playing at Christmas with DDR Ultramix, and now am getting into Stepmania. Right now, I can only pass some 8 footers, and almost beat a couple of 9 footers (like Healing Vision : Angelic Mix). So take what I'm saying with that in mind.

When I found StepMania, the first thing (after aquiring the official songs) I really wanted to do was to find user-made stepfiles for popular songs that I like, but it seems like everyone who creates these files is a hardcore DDR Maniac (Freak?).

I guess it makes sense, but what I want to know is, what's the hardest user-made song you've beaten, and are there songs that are 100% physically impossible to beat?

Has anyone ever full comboed :

1. Du Hast (10 footer I got from bemani-style.com)
2. Lateralis (Only 9 feet, but should be given a 10 IMO due to the fact that it's the whole song!)

Gravity by BMR

Release Your Mind Oni

Max 300 from IIDX Oni by Arch0wl (not THAT hard, but good challenge)

A by BMR (same as Max300FIIDX Oni, not THAT hard, but good challenge)

Digital Mind

stuff that is just impossible:

Blur (i fail at the first freeze arrows >_>)

and that's the only one that gives me problems.

Scroll down to #50, that's where you'll find Lateralis. The middle to late part of this song seems entirely possible, although exhausting, but the beginning seems impossible to me. I don't have my pads yet to try it (They should be here on Thursday!), but I can't even keep up with it with my fingers on the keyboard.

One that I feel is nearly impossible is Paranoia (Bounce Connected Mix) the second ONI one thats the 10 footer one

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get better at the game. Actually, I went through Lateralis again tonight (still without a pad - 1 day left to wait!), and it seemed much easier than the first time I saw it. I guess I still have quite a bit of newbishness to get rid of.

I cant beat a single one, even on light...

It sure seems like they are way out of sync. I can get all the steps, but when I step to the beat, i just cant get it.

"The Pledge" challenge steps (can't remember where to find that one, unfortunately), and the "Right Type of Mood" challenge steps (from Tournamix 4) are both completely impossible.

Hm... i put the JudgeScale or whatever in the stepmania.ini file up to 999999999999999 (so you could hit the arrow ANYTIME, even after it had left the screen, and still get a marvelous), turned off freezes, and STILL couldn't get it.

Impossible songs? Lets see:

Blur - Oh my Jesus...can we say "song speed mod?"
Chateau - From The Matrix:Reloaded. Pretty difficult, but passable
Cynic - o.O Another song speed mod
Dueling Banjos - Only because the steps were composed horribly wrong
FFVII Boss (Battle Remix) Oni - Put it on Little and watch your AA
Final Audition - I like toast
Flight of the Bumblebee - Without a SSM, it's hard to pass on Standard
Max Bag Period - Okay...passable. But...ole'?
neoMax Death - Remixed neoMax steps. This one is impossible. The computer fails it about 20 times in the length of the song.
Sanagi - Just...no.

Also, let us not forget about...

Zero Nightmare (Heavy OR Oni) - That should just be illegal.

There are tons of songs that LOOK unpassable, but with the right mods, you can pass them. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it.

.5 on Pledge Oni isn't cheating, it's feasible. I wasn't bragging about beating it as I'm not nearly that egotistical. It was just a joke that was perhaps lost on you Nima. I'm confident with my stepmania playing and I don't pretend under any circumstances besides those mentioned that I could pass it.
