i'm conciderin starting to bcome bar-raper:need advise asap

I'm starting to bar-rape bcuz i stupid stupid things wit my hands/arms and look like a fruit when playing. Unless u ppl can come up with something to do wit ur hands that still makes u look good while playing, looks like i'll have to give in to the bar-raping way of life...

anyway, IMO useing the bar is ok, but less impressive in terms of gameplay. If you dont care about impressing people, grab some bar! I sure do. Although i have began to train myself not to use it so much.

when raping just make sure to use one hand on crossovers or your arm will get messed up

And not all steps are easyier bar raped. Gallops? nah i dont think so, I ussually dont touch the thing unless I slip or somthing.

If you're not trying to look good for the crowd go for it. Although you'll probably get some people saying some bad stuff to you when you do it.

I understand what he means. We all have a special stance with our arms when we play without the bar. So far, I notice 3 styles.

Number one could be described as "Squirrel, T-Rex or Mr. Burn style". You know how are the arms of a T-Rex right? Well some people end up like that when playing, without even realizing it.

Number two would be the "loose arm style". It's when your arms are moving so much that it looks like someone attach 2 long things on your body and they just hang there.

Number three would be the "robot style". It's when your arms become really stiff and it looks like they are 2 metal bars. That's the way I play, but only on hard songs and that I'm too busy playing so I can't concentrate on my arms. Same goes if I try to PA a lot. Personnally I prefer the robot style, but I try to look more normal when I play. It takes practice though.
