| God, this is co-respondance to whoever posted the "wuts a cata?". Some ppl said 10 footers are called pies, but thats too stupid for words. It wuz decided/voted on a world-wide forum that 10 footers are to be called Apocolyptics, or Apoco's. Cmon, even if u dont believe me, thats a WAAY better name then "pie". *hiss* |

apaco is quite possibly the stupidest thing i've ever heard. even if it has a more serious tone than pie, pie is something original, and unlike apoco, wasn't made in an attempt to sound really cool. pie captures the average ddr players laid backness, and reminds you that its just a game. if you make everything serious it sucks. plus pie is short and sweet.

isn't catastrophic supposed to sound serious to show its difficulty? idk bout u, but the term catastrophic does not make the game look like some candy-land scenario, as it shouldnt. and if that term is serious, shouldnt 10 footers b even more serious. as a plus side, i DIDNT make this term up, i asked the same thing on ddrstl a few months ago and they told me so, plus gave me the link. dont bother asking for it cuz it expired and wuz removed from the side for being ancient. |

| In case you didn't know DDR-RaGeX all the songs levels were given names. Such as an 8 footer was exorbitant and 7 footer was called paramount. Its the just the case that catastrophic is the only one that people really use. And it really helps if you can provide a link from now on when you claim something. It'll save you time and complaints. |

The reason 10 footers are officially called 'pies' and not 'apacolypesis' is because 'apoc' doesn't sound as cool as PIE!!

Who decided that 10-foot songs had a name all together?
I would really like to know. People talking about "pies" and "apocs".
If Konami didn't label them as something, I really think that this arguement has absolutely no basis and everyone fighting over the "proper name" is utterly stupid.
I think that if you want to call them "pies", than do so. If you want to call them "apocs", fine. But the fact of the matter is, don't go forcing a term that was not set by Konami upon other people. If Konami didn't make it, it is unofficial upon every standard, even if the DDRFreak community, or DDR community as a whole decided upon it.
Just my 2 cents.

Konami stopped the whole name thing already. You darn n00bs wouldn't know what a marvelous or simple foot rating is if it bit you on the ass. Pie is more fun than Apocalyptic though.
Of course, they way it really goes IMO :
If you want to call 'em pies: go for it
If you don't: don't
If you wanna call them apoc(alyptic): go for it
If you wanna call them something else: go for it.
