I was just wondering how come Waka Laka is a 8 footer when Stoic practically has the same exact steps but it's a 9 footer. _________________

Because Konami said "waka laka is an 8 footer" and thus it was written on the game disc. _________________

I believe Waka Laka is right on the edge of 8 and 9. Stoic is too, but that one URURURU thing puts it just into the 9's. I actually think they should both be 8's. I don't believe either is nearly as challenging as Sweet Sweet Love Magic or Cartoon Heroes. _________________

Yeah, there's a reason you think that, Ganon. It's not as hard as Cartoon Heroes or Sweet Sweet Love Magic. However, I do know people who can pass Bag, but can't pass Waka laka, so really, you can't compare songs just on foot ratings. You have to factor in other things. Waka Laka's air is just insane. Also, the stream and even chaos are notable. I think it has potential for 9-hood. Stoic is harder than Waka Laka. (period) _________________

If you don't like thinking Waka Laka is an 8 footer, just think of it as an 8.9 footer. Konami just rounds down for all their metric foot ratings =-)

Well here was my logic GR. In the beautiful scale below, I compare how many 8-footers are easier than Waka Laka versus how many are harder.
(I only listed songs that were noticebly harder or easier, and I probably forgot some. Bite me.)
Easier
Super Star
A
Afronova (from Nonstop Megamix)
AM-3P
Blue Impulse
Cow Girl
Gamelan de Couple
Genom Screams
Jam Jam Reggae (normal one)
Kind Lady (Interlude)
Door of Magic
Pink Rose
Speed Over Beethoven
Sync
The Reflex
Harder
Candy Unlimited
Daikenkai
Paranoia Max
The Least 100 Sec.
Trip Machine (Luv Mix)
Vanity Angel
Witch Doctor
As you can see, there are many songs harder and easier than Waka Laka. I believe it balances out to a good 8-footer. _________________

I don't know if it should be a 9, but I'd rank it as one of the hardest 8 footer. _________________

I played it for the first time in forever today and got 2 greats, yes it should be an 8. There is nothing complex about it just alot of jumps. |

I'm taking this to mean Bag with speed mods right? Really, the only difficult nature of this song is it's density of arrows. Anyone can say they did Bag but it's only a worthy achievement if you do it on 1x. Back to the subject, no I don't think Waka Laka should be a 9 footer. Initially the steps are difficult, sure, but after a while those steps can be learnt and mastered just like crossovers for example. |

I can pass all of those no problem, but I easily fail Waka Laka. But it really doesn't matter what we say. They aren't changing it because we think so. _________________

I tried Waka Laka yesterday and I was thinking "oh, it's just 8-feet I can pass it no prob". Well I passed it but I was sooooo tired afterwards. The steps really surprised me. I got a C. Meh. |

Waka Laka is 8 feet officially, and 8 feet it shall stay so just need to live with =P Although I do think it's one of the hardest 8 footers, but it's still 8 feet either way. _________________

I think Waka Laka should stay an eight footer. It's hard, but I wouldn't consider it a cata, since its steps aren't at the cata level. Witch Doctor should be a cata before Waka Laka is, but alas, that one is also just another really hard eight footer. |

it should stay an 8. for crying out loud, i SDGd it. the reason stoic is a 9 is because the steps dont repeat itself. but then again, why is dxy an 8? |

First time I did Waka Laka Heavy:
"Okay, it's only an 8, sure, it has a whole bunch of jumps, but it can't be that bad..." *plays song* "AAAAHHHH!!! Too many 8th-note jumps!!!" *fails miserably*
This was on Event Mode, so I was stuck trying to do the rest of the song...
Anyways, it should be a 9, albeit a somewhat easy one. 98 jumps in one song is torture, and they toss in many crossovers into jumps. _________________

Can you really pass Candy Unlimited, Paranoia Max and Witch Doctor but fail Waka Laka? _________________

Waka Laka is an even arguement between an 8 and a 9-footer. I had a lot of trouble with Stoic in the past so I'm gonna say it's a 9. |
