What's on your feet while playing DDR?

If I'm in a truly "must pratice, must practice" mode, I'll play in combat boots, as the weight helps me in my strength and stamina, IMO. Then, when I'm either playing purely for fun, or any other reason, I'll switch over to whatever's the lightest footwear I have in the closet.

Honestly I go bare or bedroom shoe style at home, on my wireless dance pad. But if I go to anyother friends house, I'll put on my black Pure Low Jordans, which are pretty old, and give good support. I like the way they feel when you hit steps, so it's all good.

i haven't played it in the arcade, and at home i wear socks, white, sometimes clean, sometimes not. sometimes they have little holes in them, but they tend not to.

I use my Air Force 1's at the arcade, i'll play in socks or go barefoot if i get a pad for home

Jazz shoes... Like you would get at a dance studio. But then again, I'm a dancer first and a DDR player second...**shrug**

hmmm, i cant remember if i posted here yet, but i just bought vans and they seem like they would work. i like anythng with widebottom so i think i have better balance.

Oh man...the ultimate question...

Barefoot always always ALWAYS! Even at the arcade, I go barefoot. At this point my feet have bettere traction than my shoes do ^.^

I like socks. Shoes tend to stick and make a lot of noise. With socks, I can move faster and am more light-footed.

I like my old NSS shoes because they are flat and have good traction because I wipe the bottom with a wet towel and with a dry one and it sticks like and suction cup and its like that until I go on the carpet or play for like 3 hours. When I am at the arcade I use my VANS, they also are flat and are stylesh some what and I also bring a damp towel and a dry one for traction some times if I have time.

i play in just payless shoes... um i tryed in boots but i kicked them off same with flipflops... at six flags new england alot of kids do it with feet cause its right next to the waterpark... so they have a sign saying you have to have stuff on your feet
