in some versions, the applause sound plays when you break your combo? it's like they're cheering for you to screw up. disturb.gif

Usually when that happens, it's when I fill up my bar the step before I miss, and then I break my combo, but the cheering had already been triggered from the step before. I'm assuming that's what was happening.

Three letters.
D. W. I.
They will cheer every time you break a 50+ combo.

not in max2 usa for ps2, they just cheer/boo you at random points in the song, depending on your dance meter.
and what does d.w.i. stand for? yes, i don't know a lot of abbreviations. frown.gif

I think BPM has something to do with it... At least in earlier versions. I remember playing Drop Out on 4th plus and they wouldnt shut up laugh.gif

yeah, I noticed that, but I always thought it was like they were waiting for your combo to stop, and then cheer because you managed to do a long one.

and DWI stands for Dance With Intensity, a DDR simulator (like stepmania)

I always interpret it as the audience is awed speechless by your dancing, and don't even look at your combo until you break it... And then are thoroughly impressed by how high it got.

Does that make me an optimist? I hope not.
