How do you do it?

For instance "Never Look Back" has a sweet video on Beatmania 7th Style. I could take the song and make steps to it and if I had the video in the .avi file w/o music, I am sure I could sync it to the song.

But, how do I take the video -sound grind it up so that it's not 35MB maybe ~5MB and probably edit the length and get it to .avi...? What program works well, and any hints?

Thanks to anybody for their time, #FILE:Cradle Of Filth - Hallowed By Thy Name.mp3; <-- especially if it's that guy, the "Ninja Scroll" video is really sweet in that file!!!

I don't know about length editing, but Virtual Dub's worked great for me for taking a 20+ MB .mpg file with sound, ripping the sound out, and converting to an .avi file that's a fraction of the original size. For example, I took Bemanistyle's PSM video from IIDX, ran it through Virtual Dub, and ended up with an 8MB .avi with no sound that I scripted for the background video. biggrin.gif

VD's got an Audio and a Video pull-down. Run VD, File->Open the video file, and wait for VD to read the video in. Under Audio, just select No Audio. Under Video, select Fast Re-compress, and then choose Compression under Video to select a codec to use to re-encode the video; I suggest the latest version of DivX. After that, you just Save As Avi, let it do its thang, and you're done.

I'm downloading it now, thanks for the tips.
Some videos are going to go sweet with their songs, like the Burning Heat Full Option one.
