DDR games nominated for an award

Just like last year, the National Academy of Video Game Testers and Reviewers Corp. has its awards program. There are 43 categories this year, and the press has to make their decisions by March 12. The winners will be announced March 25 in San Jose, Calif.

Yes, the DDR home versions are among the nominees.

US DDR Max 2 and DDR Ultramix are among the finalists for the NAVGTR Special Class award. It's opponents are Amplitude, Wario Ware Inc. and Karaoke Revolution.

On a side note, Karaoke Revolution also is a finalist for the NAVGTR Innovation Award. It's opponents are "Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand," the Sony Eye Toy, the Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP, and the Xbox Music Mixer.

I have not voted yet, and I'll probably think it over for a couple more days.

43 categories? Do you have a list of them?

It almost screams "this is an advertising award" because they have so many categories they can award (or advertise) a whole lot of games.

I think MAX 2 home should earn an award. It's one of the best home mixes in my book.
