This evening, I learned (on Gambler Z) that if you hold down the white button you speed through the movements... very helpful _________________

I'm pretty sure Foundation of Our Love was on Pop'n before IIDX (although I know it's on 8th Style). Unless you weren't implying that it was.... _________________

Oh, 8 still rules a lot. But Internet Ranking will be opening for PNM 9 in just a couple days. Whee!

Okay, but are the psx versions going out of production any time soon? Will they become rare? _________________

The PS1 versions aren't still being produced, are they? The only one they might still do is PNM 6, and even that seems highly unlikely.

Uh...the last PSX version was 6. That's most likely the last version to be produced. PS2 has better capabilities to handle the different modes in PNM (like battle, better loading, higher sampling rates, more songs, etc).
So in other words, don't wait for any PSX versions, I don't see why Konami would release any more PnM's to PSX.
Andy: I know, it was. I was just saying that Trance from IIDX wasn't brought over as "Trance 2" or anything like that, because it was a crossover song. Whether it's been crossed over, or a transplant song, PnM doesn't change the genre name. That's what I meant =P _________________

i think the best song on pop n' 9 is Daikenkai (or in english Big Opinion(s)). it's on DDR Extreme as well. who else loves this song as much as i do??? (btw the jap romaji lyrics sound cool, but the english version is weeeeeeird!!! check out www.animelyrics.com and find pop n' 9 for more info!) _________________

Im 100% sure there are better songs on Popn 9 than Daikenkai. Daikenkai was on 8 too and even then it was only ok. _________________

Pop'n 9 has the LONG version of daikenkai. My ears bled buckets after I played it to get the obligatory clear. x_x _________________

... I still love the song. Although I don't love that it's the only song DDR players aren't hesitant to play, and they whore out the song on every given chance, even though they all get horribly owned at it.
The Place To Be [Core Groove] is clearly the best song from 9 CS. _________________

DAIKENKAI/HIP ROCK ON DDR SUCKS.
Hip Rock is such a Pop n' song, it's not even fun on DDR. Hard on doubles Oni, that's it. Otherwise, that song should have stayed on PNM.
Plus, Hip Rock long = same as in Volcal Best 3, sounded better when that came out, so in the game, didn't give me much of a shock =P
Favorite songs?
Hi-Ten K-Mix
Des-Nawa
Girls Band 2
Rock Fusion
Pastoral
Peach Idol
Rock Guitar
Bio Miracle
Core Groove (The Place to Be, meh, PnM 10, but close enough)
Jet Coaster Girl (forgot the genre)
I had more in mind, but I'm in a rush...maybe later =P _________________

I have yet to find a Des-Row song I can tolerate. Sorry.
I'm adoring Lovaholic, though... forgot the genre name since I'm used to referencing the songs by song name. Of course, *shining* and White Eve are great too, and the Hyper J-Pop songs... _________________

I actually don't remember what that song sounds like... I'll give it a listen later.
I tend to be turned off by male vocals in general though. =P
EDIT: Okay, took a listen. Musically, it doesn't sound half bad... but I stand by what I said regarding the vocals. =P Aside from the rapping (you can tell I'm not a big fan of rap in general), there's something about it that doesn't click with me...
EDIT2: Is anyone else charting the challenge points? It'll be a while before Konami puts up the full table, but so far, I've discovered that 49 and 81 will give EX stage. Also, Tyma's guide states that 61, 80, and 125 will give EX stage as well. (Asking which values give unique EXs is probably a bit too much to chart right now...) I haven't been logging which values just give CGs, though that info might be helpful, especially if different values give different types of CGs...
EDIT3: Wow, I actually beat one of the bosses on the first try... of course, it was only 25時ノ悪戯 on Hyper, with white pop-kun ojama... so, uhh, yeah, would be kinda sad if someone that's been playing for as long as I have COULDN'T pass that... oh well, I'm happy anyways ^^;
EDIT4: (So instead of posting multiple times, maybe this is more annoying?) I found out that if you go into the options and set the default mods from there, one of the mods is mispelled "Randam" when you select it. (Only from the options screen, though...) I'm 94% through Gambler Z now - have to go to 01 punk 0, then I can go to the final boss, so have to run through the board two more times still... then I can not do the Marathon mode! =P _________________
