I want to put arcade-style lights in my home setup, but I don't know how to build a sound-activated circuit. I don't want it where the lights will go on when the music's loud enough then off the next time it's loud enough (like that Clapper thing, "Clap on!! *clap clap* Clap off!! *clap clap* The clapper!!) I want it to stay on as long as the music is loud enough. Anybody know how to do this? |

buy retail car decorations. The kind that flash on your stereo to, uh, make you get in accidents.
OR, a color organ is something that you plug lamps into and they go off with sound. Search on google for "color organ" |

Have you tried looking at the neon light bulbs that you can put inside see-through computer cases? Some of those take a mini-stereo plug input, and also has a knob that lets you control the sensitivity of the light. Not sure if this is arcade-style enough for you. |

Listen, those bulbs inside computers are NOT neon. Neon would melt the system. The bulbs in computers are either LED or Cathode. Silly nonl33ts. Anyways, I have another suggestion for those of you light-less. You can take a low-powered LED light and a small convex lens and attatch the LED to the ground wire for each panel, so that when the circuit is closed, it will light up. This is what I did. And another idea that has come in handy at parties: Turn out all the lights, and strap glowsticks to your shoes. It looks really cool. _________________
