hi. due to certain circumstances, i cannot go on ebay and get new pads as usual and instead, I need to get them in person. the next problem is that just about every bloody game store i called up said they were out of the ddrmax2 pad/game bundle, but gamestop had a bunch of softies made by Naki.

those who have it, are they any good? thanks.

I have 2 of the old like original naki's. It depends on who you ask about Naki. I heard people saying that they've had them die in under a week. I've had mine for over 3 years and only one of them still works. Try also asking about the Red Octane Ignition if it's a gamestop or Eb games. They should have atleast one of them and you can get them in person. But really the decision is yours.

Yeah, you probably should have asked over there...

...but anyway, I've found the Naki soft pads (specifically the DPR2) to be the best 3rd-party soft pads available in that price range ($20). They're responsive, reliable and more durable than the competition. I modded two of those and they lasted me quite a while. Heck, I'm still using one of them (replaced the other with a Konami, when MAX2 USA came out). I've seen a few of them turn out to be lemons, but hopefully you won't wind up with one.
