male or female?

I'm a girl. In my group of friends, there is a balance between male and female players.

At the arcades, men typically (not all the time) play heavy. Most of the time when I see girls on the machine, they are playing beginner or basic.
We need to get some more standard/heavy playing girls out there.

I've only known one female DDR player...she is 10 years old. :|

I can't seem to find any other older females who play DDR...I always see the guys playing.

It would be nice to see a chick or two..I know they are out there I just haven't seen them....

Wow... like... nearly every post in this topic is barely coherent

I am female. Where I'm from more males definitely play.
But its okay! Anyways, the girls I do see playing are not so good.
I can do 9-10 foot songs but not very well PA

I mostly play the other Bemani games now anyways

The reason mostly only girls that aren't good seen playing is probably that they are less afraid to go up and try a new game

But boys are alot more competitive (I will know

) so thats why they are mostly the PA'ers.

I'm female.

There is only a couple of girls around this area, and only one other gal and I play on a regular basis. The other ones don't play more than maybe once every three weeks, or are just random people coming into the arcade and want to try out the "dancey" game.

All my DDR friends are guys. And those are pretty much the only people I hang out with are my DDR buds. We just have a lot in common.

I didn't know that! What the hell? He sounds like a girl! Anyways, I'm a guy. 85% of the good people around here are guys. About 50% of the mediocre/crappy people are girls probably.

I'm a female and can do up to a level 9. I seen less than five females play and only 2 that can play up to my level. The rest play light and beginner mode. Mostly the people in my school i told and introduce the game to them. Anyway i mostly play with guys but they my friends anyway

Like any videogame (I'm pretty sure there are almost no exceptions) more guys than girls play DDR. However, I have seen many girls play, and I've seen at least 5 who can play on the 9-10 foot level. Then again, there are almost as many girls as guys at my local arcade.

I, of course, am male. I started putting "tim" in my username a long time ago to eliminate all confusion.

Of the 4 other DDR players I know, one of them is a woman (wife of one of the male players) and I mostly see men playing it.

Most of the people I see play kinda even out, cuz I know alotta girl ddr players and most of of them are just as good as the guys that I know that play ddr. I "know" know about 10 or alittle over 10 of them and there's a few more that I don't know. So things pretty much even out for me from my view when it comes to seeing males or females playing ddr, even their skills almost come out equal. As for me, I come out a little above the rest just cuz I'm about rank 3 in my town (overall m/f)....and I am a female.

Over here you generally get girls playing casually but it's guys who end up being better at it.

Out of the people I usually play with, I'm the only girl. There aren't that many "good" girl players over here because most just get up to trick and then decide that sweat is yucky. The few girls who can play catas (myself included) are a rare breed indeed
