So I've officially fallen into DDR nerd-dom. I was listening to So Deep (Perfect Sphere Mix) before bed because I just happen to think it's a really, really beautiful track and it's the next cata I want to learn for the arcade. So anyway, while I was listening to it, I started writing an away message and this poem came out of it... figured I'd post it here. I'm sure at least one person can relate to it.

So deep
So beautiful
So long
But I never forget...

Here I stand now, still today
As if it all was yesterday
Leaving everyone afraid
But still I am here

So deep inside your heart I saw
So beautiful the sight
So long it's been since last I heard
But still I can't forget

So deep inside your soul I fell
So beautiful the sound
So long since I have heard of love
But I remember still

Do I regret?
Do I despair?
Do I run away?

If I could lose the memories
Would I cast them away?

I can't forget the things I've lived
For they're why I'm alive
I can't regret the things I've done
They made me who I am

Still the feeling lies
So deep inside my mind
And still, after my whole life fades
I will not forget.

Hope this is the right forum. Also, anybody know if this is a KO? I was under the impression that it was, but a friend told me it was a license. Can anybody confirm that?

That's a pretty good poem...though i'm no good at poems i still had to learn about them for a year disgust.gif so i have some advice...i think you should change the last line in the second, third and fourth stanzascause it doesn't flow with the poem and it makes it kinda choppy

It's pretty good, but I don't consider anything in free verse to be poetry. riiight.gif

And, yes, So Deep is a cool song E4.gif

I might try to memorize and and sing it. Poetry can be very cool, but IMHO, I don't care much for that poem, sorry.

IIRC, silvertear = ian van dahl. so deep and its various official remixes are the only songs he does under that pseudonymn

And furthermore Ian Van Dahl is not a person, but rather a group of people, and if it was just a single person, he'd be a she. E15.gif

Why's that? Ian = guys name. At least primarily. I know a few guys named Ian, never heard of a female Ian.

actually, the only female in the group (annemie coenen) is just the singer and face of the entire group. if it had to come down to gender specifics, the name would be labeled as a 'he', because of the two founders christophe chantzis and erik vanspauwen. together with two other producers, they form a group of five titled ian van dahl.

What!? Ian Van Dahl is Silvertear? Well I guess that's why there is So Deep and Will I? on Max 2 US...but unfortunately the quality of Will I? is now reflected unto So Deep which, by my logic, means one of my favorite songs is now garbage...sigh. Goodbye So Deep. E2.gif

Word... though even awful artists strike it lucky sometimes. Maybe IvD's problem is just that they're not good at writing songs longer than 2 minutes. (I Will and Castles don't count because they were originally full tracks). Haha... maybe at least.

Wa-what? Whats wrong with his songs? Whats wrong with Will I? Its a good song IMO....... and So Deep is an even greater song but still, even though you think Will I? is bad-- just because theyre both made by the same group doesnt mean So Deep is bad as well....

(or vyse versa)
