If DDR truly becomes a sport, the following should happen:
1. Truly talented players like Yasu/Take/Aaron should be held in such high regard as Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Tom Brady.
2. The "teams" of DDR players (such as Team Seattle) will become much more competitive, dropping their dead weight, and getting DDR players will become like the NCAA: Recruiting bonuses, illegal payments under the table, full college scholarships...
3. There will be at least one incident where a player tries to take out another player (whether by physical assault or drugging a drink) before a game.
4. All schools will have a DDR machine in the gym. Better DDR players will actually fit the jock stereotype, and pick on lesser DDR players. _________________

DDR was only recently called a sport by a country. Things take time.

Let's hope not. I'd rather not be a jock. Picking on people of lesser skill is bad sportsmanship. DDR should not become some corrupted sport. It was much nicer a while back. Today too much flaming and hatred is going on, which is one reason why it used to be more fun. |

In some circles, there are those that would fit that stereotype.
Mainly the ones that do only 10s and nothing else.
Hell, the better players don't really brag. There's a few that have ego problems *which is puzzling*, and "have the right to act that way".

yea datz great a ddr machine in schools that would be so much fun...hmmm theres this thing called bragging rites since similar to a football game u win u get bragging rights....but I really dont care much for bragging especially in DDR even when the difference in skillz are obviously big. Also i dont rmbr thoes good ol' days of honor and glory cause i never had dat exp. like ive said before theres little to no poeple here that play ddr so i am an underground player i try and bring it out to my friends so bragging would only lead them away. Good strat for me is to trea them good so i can have more people playin lol wow look how dat works. yea okay datz bout it _________________

I want it to be worldwide, minus Japan and Korea. That'd be so awesome, I might even be able to pick up chicks if I were a DDR "jock" (hahah...) |

Is there a reason for leaving those two countries out? Especially Japan, since they are the origin of ddr. US vs. Japan, we will finally see who has more skill. |

Scrabble is an official sport... i think if DDR was to be seen as an sport, Konami would make SO much money from the endeavour, it would outweigh any possible cons.
An interesting fact: Cheese rolling is an official sport. Where you take a block of cheese and roll it down a hill...

If DDR was on ESPN the announcer would sound really funny. "WOW look at those amazing steps." That would be funny.. _________________
