on the disney channel the lindsay lohan show or something like that, they had these two girls and they said: the one girl was a better dancer...basically it was a rip off of DDR in my opinion, they had four light up panels but no screen and they would hit the four panels then actaully dance but stole the concept =P

Not sure if someone posted this yet and sorry if I'm reporting old news. But I was flipping through and caught something on the Disney Channel. It was a really short "making of" for some crappy movie coming out.

Anyway, they were dancing on these pads and not even looking at the screen. The screen looked to have the basic ddr arrows plus ever diagonal. This girl even did a crappy little bar hop! frown.gif

On a side note:
I've seen posts about "what if there was a DDR based movie made" etc. I think it would be a good idea but DDR needs to become even more of a mainstream... "Sport" in the US before ever making it. I still consider it a type of undeground Game/Sport but who knows. Look at "The Fast and the Furious", Street Racing was really popular in Japan and this movie came out in america and look at it now. I don't know about whats going on where you live but if you drive anywhere such as a mall parking lot or a local college chances are you'll see a modified/tricked out import.

The same could happen to DDR but as of now if they did make a movie about it, it would probably be really gay (kinda like the movie hackers). The actors would be using terms in the wrong way and the scores would be rediculouse(sorry can't spell, too early, lol).

Scene in Hackers and look at it today!:
Freak: Wow, this is insanely great! It has a 28.8 bps modem!!!

I just thought i'd throw that it as it came to mind, laugh.gif

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (with the Passion of the Christ on the cover) I saw on The Must List (page 41) a mention of DDR (Entry 3):

JABARI on 'College Hill'
His dreadlocks may be cool, but that's all this computer-loving nerd (who's hooked on Dance Dance Revolution) has going for him on BET's campus-based reality show.

So, anyone watch this show? I personally never watch BET, so I don't know.

I'm not sure but last year I saw this episode of Yu-gi-oh and Tea was playing some kind of DDR. It had a lot of steps.

That's not cute anymore.

Anyway, I saw DDR on a BET commercial for this reality show called College Hill..there was some boy playing it.

I also saw it on a commercial for a place called The Falls around my area.

I think that was called Techno montion or something like that. Yu-Gi-Oh's owned by Konami too, so they can do that.

I must agree with those who have said it so far...the G4 commercial is SO cool! It's nice to see the series get some positive recognition besides an MTV special, of course.

Yeah, she beat the crap out of Jonny Step (I think that was his name) and Yugi ended up beating him and teaching him how to respect everyone and all that good stuff.

Anyway, I saw this uber-retarded Flash movie with a few scenes showing Get Up'n Move a couple of times. It's called We Drink Ritalin.

You all won't believe me.

V:

On a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Can't remember the name, but, ironically, there was a snowstorm at the beginning of the cartoon.
