There shouldnt be a DDR movie, as much as that would be cool...
For every "fad" that has made a movie, their popularity surges, then shortly thereafter, plumits. Take Pokemon for example: They made a movie, and it killed the series (either that or having to catch an additional 150 EVERY SINGLE GAME they must be at like 500 or something ) _________________

Yeah they made movies about "The Twist" and something other dances, so why not.
I'd love to see a movie about some kid whocan't get laid ands sits on the computer all day and posts on message boards about him getting SDG on songs he can't even pass, and calling people idiots because they don't know that Raven-G is Naoki, and then posting some edited screen shots of his DWI scores. Next he goes to the mall and "freestyles" on Dynamite Rave basic and fails, and everyone points and calls him a noob, so he retires from DDR to play Dance Maniax instead, but he still sucks at it but at least no one has to wait for his turn to be over. Yep, that's my kind of movie. _________________

OK OK how about this one, this guy is going out with this girl, but they get into an argument if Burnin' the Floor should be a 9 footer or a 7 footer, so the girl get's angry so they break up and then he spends the movie playing DDR practicing so he can win a tournament and win her heart back from the new guy he's dating who's theme song is Maxx Unlimited. _________________

I agree with DDRLacrosse. While I do like your idea of a possible DDR-based movie, I think that if Hollywood or who/whatever made a movie, it would indeed spell it's downfall....
HOWEVER, I would like to see a few DDR stories be made into a movie....

I think thse two stories would make great movie ideas. Both stories are great, so check 'em out! _________________

It could cover the life of a young boy making waves in the DDR community during the Bemani phase a few years ago. Then when it all dies and other games like Pop'N and Taijestu No Tojin (Cough cough, too lazy to check spelling/pronounciation) steal DDR's thunder he makes a huge trip to North America to follow the wave and truly impress people.
|
Wow, there's so many things wrong with that I barely know where to begin...
1) Bemani is by no means fallen. See PopN Music 10, Guitar Freaks 10/DrumMania 9, and beatmania IIDX 10th style coming out? Yeah.
2) Taijestu no Tojin?! Do you mean Taiko no Tatsujin? That's a totally unrelated game that isn't even a Bemani.
3) The first bemani was Beatmania, then PopN Music, so how could Pomu possibly steal DDRs thunder? Just because DDR died it wasn't the fault of more successful Bemani. Look at Para and DMX. Those died too.
...Wow, I'm a geek Sorry, that was just driving me crazy.

Hahahahah!! Your other story was funny too
My boyfriend and I got into a serious arguement about (among other things) who got the left side when we went to play IIDX _________________

Hmm...I dunno, it may just be crazy enough to work. From what I've seen and head, "You Got Served" is a movie about Basketball and Breakdanceing...woo (No, that's not the right emoticons, but you get the idea) |

That would be sweet, Make a Movie, DDR would plumbit, and all the people who play DDR BECAUSE thier freinds do or because its popular will stop, and the rest of us who play for fun will have the machines to ourselves... If nobody plays machine prices will all be like 50 cents or something and it would be awesome. |

Yeah, that'd be pretty sweet -- atleast until they removed the machines cause they weren't getting enough use to keep a profit _________________

even though its a fad, its not practical.
For every 3 people who walk by it and see someone play it and say "Shit!!! that game is awesome"
Theres about 30 people who walk by it and say, "This game is garbage" "I wouldnt be caught dead playing that game" or "Theyre charging $1 for this lame game"
nice try, imm sure if it happened, and there was a movie, the critics would laugh at the movie and say to the producers "Ha! You got PWNED" _________________

how bout no....
i mean if they did one to do something about it. It would be like a reality show with REAL LIFE ddr players. Not some corny movie where people conqure there fears and break apart from the "Typical" Teen.etc
You get it??? The closest thing i would like to see is a documentry about the DDR community....IE: something like spell bound |

And I thought Initial D was lame... this idea takes the cake. It would be about a kid who trains to win a tournament, and you get to watch him play for seven hours on Konamix and a soft pad, every day, for a month. Then he competes in the tournament and he finds out his PA sucks from playing on Konamix's mega super huge perfect window so much. He doesn't qualify with his 200 greats. Then his girlfriend dumps him, his computer gets the blaster worm, and he gets rear-ended in his Pinto. The end. _________________
