Does anybody know of the existence of a converter that will let me plug an Xbox controller into a PS2? Yes, I know there are a ton of converters that go the other way, but here's my situation:

I created an Xbox Live compatible control box for my CF 2.0, not thinking that I might one day own a PS2. Well, now I own a PS2. So I would like to use this nifty control box on that now, too.

My options, as I see them, are:

1) Use the circuit board from a Beat Pad Pro (a universal dance pad) - tried this, but, for some reason, it doesn't work with the PS2, even though it does work with my PSX

2) Redesign my control box to be modular so I can just plug new controller cores onto the side of the box - this is the "cool" option, but is task intensive

3) Put two controller circuit boards inside the box - this is possible, though they would both need to be hooked up to my D-Sub 15 connector simultaneously, and I'm unsure as to whether or not one controller would fry the other

4) Find a way to take an Xbox controller and use it on the PS2 - this seems the easiest, but I have been unable to find a ready-made converter to do this or any documentation on how to make such a converter

So, if anybody can answer #3 or #4, I would very much appreciate the guidance.

Well, #2 seems to be your best option (A: it makes the CBOX cooler still, and B: You usually take the hard way out anyways E13.gif ).
I don't think #3 is particularly safe, let alone possible (two connected at once without it frying? Never seen it done...), and #4 doesn't exist (I looked).
I supposed you could cut the end off of an XBOX controller (Just the end that goes in to the XBOX), and cut a PS2 controller before it hits the pad, and try to work some sort of connection between thetwo sets of wires (I don't do wires, remember? riiight.gif ).

I think the splicing wires would be a disaster....

The module in the pics is the PS2 controller. Now I just have to make a module for my Xbox and I'm good to go.

The Xbox module is done. Project complete.

Now I have nothing to talk about. Time to go lurk for a while.

Check CompUSA, I saw something that I think was a converter for all systems, any controller (xbox, ps2, gc) can plug into any of these three systems.

hmm...actually, screw it, I'll go down there and be sure of what it was before I go getting peoples hopes up...haha.

They're way too expensive.

The main controller box is about $95, the PS2 module was about $20, and the Xbox module was $35.

On top of that, the design is specifically for Cobalt Flux 2.0's, so the possible audience is pretty limited, though I imagine it would be fairly easy to modify for use with other hard pads or to just make a small converter.

Note that this is in no way a judgement on any XBox owner.

I just wanted to point out it is extremely hard to find (insert system here) to PS2 converters but very easy to find PS2 to (insert system here) converters.
