|
|
K, I've got an idea from the Stepmania website.
Maybe there's a way to rip the program files from a DDR PS2 game to the hard drive, remove song files, add custom song files, reburn the lot to a DVD or CD ROM to make playable in a PS2.
Any ideas how to make this a reality??? _________________

Because the XBOX is practically a computer.
PS2 doesn't even enough ram to even run stepmania at bare minimum.
There's just too much stuff that needs to be loaded to the memory.
Also, since PS2 doesn't support either Direct3D or OpenGL, even "IF" a ps2 version was ever created, it'll run in *cough* software mode (and the people with old video cards know how unplayable it would be)
It'll never happen. _________________

Did you read my post? I said I'm not using Stepmania, I'm using the PS2 DDR format. _________________

okay, here is the standard reply to topics like this:
theoretically, it's possible. But, no one knows how to go about this or will take the effort to find out, except maybe you. It's also very likely that you do not have the ability to do this, since you asked.
All in all: 'taint gonna happen. Don't whine about it either. |

because many people have PS2's, and some people see that there is a Stepmania port for Xbox, and many people don't think about the difference between a PS2 and an Xbox. |

you can run SM on a modded Xbox. Internet access doesn't do anything for it... |
