i know this sounds weird but i was watching the trailer for confessions of a teenage drama queen and for a second it looked like she was playing something that resembled a ddr machine. is this true? has ddr hit the movies?

At least they had Plasma screens on that stupid rip off. I'd go see it if it was a DDR machine, though. And spend the entire time talking about how badly I'd whip her nice big a$$, lol! (No offense meant, ladies)

Uh... i guess that's cool. You know, talking about how you'd totally destroy some person at a game they've probably never played before. My hat is tipped to you, sir.

well sorta relating to the topic; in the movie lost in translation there was an arcade scene, but alas no DDR, however they had guitarfreaks.

If I do remember correctly, in that movie Lost In Translation, they were also showing that Beatmania game, that Taiko drum game, and that Pop 'n Music game as well. Also, if you do get the chance to rent/see Wasabi, starring Jean Reno, there is that scene in a club in Japan in which they do dance to Dive on the DDR 5th mix. Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

You know what buddy, you should put that in your signature! nerd.gif Duh! laugh.gif No, really. It would make a catchy sig!

Anyway, I can't stand it when T.V. and movies make "rip-off" replicas of DDR machines. It's so fucking fake.

They had Guitar Freaks, Taiko Drumming, and popnmusic. I had one question about it tho. The guy who's fooling around on the pnm machine looks similar to the guy who freestyles on old BM machines. I remember there was a video of him jumping around to Salamander Beat Crush Mix something or other... if anyone else knows wtf i'm talking about can contribute to this, do so kthx yeah.

I just saw Lost In Translation a couple of days ago. I thought that Bemani sequence was brilliant. It was cool how they used those games, but the direction was awesome. Bill Murray better win best actor or I will RAGE!

There's a scene in the movie Wasabi (Jean Reno, Ryoko Hirosue) where they play 3rd mix (i think) and then talk big bulky Reno into playing (or was it the fat sidekick...OH WELL!) It's been a while since I saw the movie. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/Wasabi-1117340/reviews.php for a review. I really don't know why I know these things, Wasabi is a pretty far shot into left field happy.gif'''. *stores random facts in treasure chest* It's actually a pretty good movie XD

Actually, it was a DDR 5th mix machine (If I remember correctly) and the song that they were playing was "Dive". Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!
