Hi everyone! I'm Alan. I'm 16. I've been into DDR ever since I saw a DDR machine at Busch Gardens Florida. I looked at it and thought to myself "What is that?" It looked interesting so I gave it a try! Of course I failed , but that just made me want to try harder! I got DDR for the playstation one system and loved it! I now have a ps2 and both DDR MAX and DDR MAX2. DDR is the most fun and interactive game I've played! Well, that's about it!

ey everyone been lurkin the forums for almost 2.5 years and finally registering. i live in Los Angeles Area, SF valley to be exact, and I am no noob to DDR. I can AA and AAA many songs from standard and a good amount of heavy. I have been doin freestyle for a year and a half so just gonna start postin here and talkin to other guys like me. i wanna put a DDR troupe togethor in LA and do weekly gatherings or something so if anyone is interested email me at [email protected]

From all the news I get from Cynan and the fact I haven't been here in quite a while--I feel no more new than the newest. So I guess I'll do this because I'm bored. =P

I used to be known as DDRgurl--but that's a little too generic and unoriginal, ne? So yeah...after several name changes--I've stuck to this one (and am stuck to it) for just about 3 years now. I'm Cynan's lil' sister (10 years younger)--so I've been playing just as long as him and have been with the site since the green BBS (ddrfreak.n3.net -- hahaha), but I'm nowhere close to being as good as he is since I don't really play because I'm a lazy butt nerd now...I think if I joined a tournament nowadays, I'd come in last just because they sound so difficult--at least the way Cynan describes them. I've never been able to memorize a song. T_T;; I suck at DDR. You may as well call me mini-Cynan, minus the skill. =P

Hi everyone. I'm Mithy, from Virginia Beach, and I'm still pretty new to DDR.

I used to watch the people in the arcades pounding away at the pads and think to myself "My God..they look like Backstreet rejects", but..I guess it was a little unfair of me to judge. I never gave it a try because they were always crowded with expert players and I didn't want to look like an idiot in public. Well...one day I was down at the beach and saw a Pump It Up machine, just sitting there in a pretty much empty arcade, so..I decided to give it a try. I sucked horribly and my boyfriend got embarrassed and thought I was an idiot..but it was a lot of fun.

Eventually, I decided I'd give DDR a try, mostly because they dun have PIU for Playstation and to me a dancing game is a dancing game. I ordered a set off of Ebay because all the stores were sold out, and the set was pretty good..and..here I am. Yet another recruit in the mighty DDR army. Ha ha.

So..I've been playing DDRMax2 for a little less than a week now, but I've been so addicted to the thing that I've A'ed/AA'ed most of the songs on Light and I'm starting to move up to Standard on some. Still doing pretty horrid, though. I dun have the speed that's needed. Someday, maybe.

Well...I guess that's it. If there's anyone in the area who'd like to get together sometime at the mall and play, or anywhere, I'd love that. It'd be nice to have someone other than my little brother to dance with, and I could use the pointers. Most of the people I've run into at the arcades haven't seemed that friendly. Mostly just "Yeah, I'll talk with my friends, hog the machine til I run out of the 20 bucks worth of tokens I got, and then leave without acknowledging you said hi or complimented me on my skill" types. I hate those kinds of people.

hi, i'm souma, i'm 17 about to be 18, i just got accepted to GA Tech, i started playing about a year and a half ago, played for a year then stopped for about 4 months now i'd like to start up again.

i saw two guys playing ddr at the mall during a math tournament, i saw them and i was (like everyone else) totally amazed. i later started playing with a friend and i learned quickly. i actually saw the same two guys at yet another math tournament and i pwned them. woohoo.

for me ddr is a very sensual experience, lights, colo(u)rs, sounds, sweat dripping. the perfect exercise.

my fav songs are rhythm and police reverse, orion .78 ameuro mix 1x, HVAM, and various others.
