Wow, someone actually restarted this thread.
Anywho, lets see, most embarrassing DDR moment...hmm..
Okay, so one time I'm at the arcade playing and my friend bets me $30 that I can't do a full beginner song while diong a handstand. Of COURSE I take him up b/c I'm stupid, and so I choose beginner BreVkdown (I love that upside down A). So I hook my feet onto the bar and pull up so that my weight is concentrated on the bar and not on my hands.
Needless to say, halfway through the song, some dumb arsehole watching decides it'll be funny to push my feet off the bar. I go flying and sprain a wrist, so for about the last 1/3 of the song I'm hopping around with all 180 lbs. of me ON ONE WRIST.
I got a B, though. And I went back later and put ex-lax in that prat's pop cup. _________________

I felt rather stupid today playing on an arcade 5th Mix machine. Having played at home a lot recently, I was trying to select songs there by using right/left pad arrows rather than the ones on the machine itself
Having wasted so much time realizing that (doh!), I ended up on some song I haven't played in a long while - Radical Faith. Talk about completely forgetting the heavy steps. At least I passed. Passed well would be too much to ask. _________________

OR when I was playing Healing Vision (angelic mix) on heavy and I tried doing the spins in the beginning and tripped hiting my face on the bar and fell off the pad... That was by far more embarrasing |

Most embarassing moment? Playing at the arcades whilst on Light. Man, it's tough not owning a home version. |

Damn, that sounds pretty much like my first experience. Things haven't changed much during the last few years. I still can't handle playing at the arcade. |

I lost to a guy next to me, he got all AAs on all Heavies and I never got better than a B. Anyone have tips on how to get used to metal pads? _________________

Keep it up, there's actually a surprisingly large amount of people (many of whom were girls...no stereotyping here or anything ) at the arcade I play at (er...have played at, I've only been to the arcades three times ) that play just light. Although it can be a pain seeing Matsuri Japan on light over and over and over...and anyways...
Of the few times I've been at the arcade, the most embaracing thing for me had been when I failed Ordinary World (on heavy) after getting maybe 10 seconds into it
Fortunately it was at like 10AM after the arcade had just opened so nobody was around _________________

I tried World Tour tonight, because I was bored and figured I should try for a higher score.
After Orion, I realized "Wow, it's HOT in my pants!" I had on two pairs of pajama pant things...so I tried to remove the top layer.
I got it stuck on my shoe, so I removed that, and got one leg of pants off.
The other was stuck with a shoe still, so I started Matsuri Japan with one sock, one shoe, and a pair of pants chilling around an ankle. And the other shoe was just chillin' on the up arrow.
I gave up right at the U/D gallops at the end of the intro.
Best failure ever. _________________

-Almost falling off the platform when there were hecklers
-Failing my first song when I was trying to do Dark mode on a machine with a messed up screen
-Freaking out in terror and kicking a baby off the pad when he hopped on during a Maniac song _________________

Several times I've gont flying off the side of the pad, usually with my foot hitting the extreme corner of it, while doing doubles. Something that requires fast movement from one side to the other, kind of like the end of So Deep on Heavy. You haven't experienced pain until you feel your ankle go one way, your leg another way, and the rest of your body yet another |
