I have owned a Cobalt Flux for a few months now and the thing has been working great. But I just have a problem with the arrows tearing the bottom of the socks from the friction as I step over the crack between the center panel and up arrow. I've tried playing in shoes but it's so squeeky and I get way too much grip for my tastes, even though I always play with shoes on arcade pads. So far I've gone through about 10 pairs of socks like this, but I've been having a blast the whole time, I'm just worried this could start to get expensive.
Anyone else having problems with socks tearing? Any solution to this without having to resort to playing with shoes or in bare feet? _________________

Shoes are your only answer, I'm afraid.
What you can do, since your shoes have too much grip, is wear an old pair of shoes you still have laying around. I used the shoes I used for yardwork that were more than a year old so they had lost anything resembling grip. |

try taking a pair of socks that arent worth anything to you and cover them with 2 or 3 coats of duct tape... it ruins the socks... and sometimes you cant put them on a 2nd time... but you'll look cool and never have to worry about ruining the tape! |

I'm not sure how effective it'd be, but could you just put a pad cover (like the ones they have for soft pads) over the metal pad and still play with your socks without any trouble, or does the metal pad damage the pad cover?
...or do they have metal pad covers? _________________
