I didn't write my combo down, and even though it doesn't really matter, I'd like to know what it was.
On Road of Slow, I had a total of 2996 Dance Points.
I had:
Marv.: 776
Perf.: 270
Great: 116
Good/Boo/Miss: 0
What would my combo have been?
(Going by the scale of:
Marvelous: 3
Perfect: 2
Great: 1
Good: 0
Boo: -4
Miss: -8)
And also, how much are freeze arrows worth? |

In oni courses, combo is increased by one for each marvelous or perfect. Jumps don't count as two, and greats count as zero. Therefore, if you never broke combo, you got:
776 + 270 = 1046 combo.

BZZT! Incorrect! You're mixing up your oni and normal scoring!
Normal/nonstop scoring (to calculate your grade):
Marvelous/Perfect: 2
Great: 1
Good: 0
Boo: -4
Miss: -8
OK: 6
Oni scoring:
Marvelous: 3
Perfect: 2
Great: 1
Good/Boo/Miss: 0
OK: 3

Okay, I think I understand that.
My dance points were 2996, because of the 2 double-jump freeze arrows in Be in my Paradise, and We Will Rock You, correct?
<- -> freeze = 3 dance points
Correct?
Marv: 776 (2328 Dance Pts.)
Perf: 270 (540 Dance Pts.)
Great: 116 (116 Dance Pts.)
Total: 2984
Total with Freeze Arrows: 2996
Comes out perfect, I guess.

Not quite.
For one, there are no freeze arrows in Be in my Paridise. It's from Club Mix, before they had freeze arrows.
However, We Will Rock You has four freezes, bringing the necessary 12 dance points by itself. (It's the only song in the course with any freeze arrows.)
Note that a jump containing two freeze arrows only counts as one okay. We Will Rock You has a left arrow freeze and a right arrow freeze in the middle, then a left+right jump freeze and an up+down jump freeze at the end. Even though that's a total of six frozen arrows, that's only four freezes and therefore 4 OKs.

Oh, and to add to that ...
Your old Max2 percentage would have been somewhere along the lines of a middle low 96% to a high 95% on Road of Slow. I had a similarly dance points score, except I had less Marvelous, but also less Greats ... around 15 less to be exact. Which made mine about a 97%, or high 96%.
Amazing how it works when you drop the Marvelous stuff.

Just one more thing.
The total amount of dance points in Road of Slow is what?
I came up with 3498.
Going by my arrow count above for the course, I came up with a total amount of Dance Points from Marvelous's alone to be: 3486
Then, adding in the dance points from 4 O.K.'s, would equal 12 more Dance Points.
So 3486 + 12 = 3498
So, I had a 2996 score, meaning that I got .....85%?
Eh...
My Max2 % would be around 95% (if I calculated it right).. |

Yeah, I would have rather had the Max 2 percentage system.

Well I have a theory.
Since you can AAA (meaning getting 100%) on a course by getting anything that is perfect and/or marvelous. You will get a higher score by getting more marvelouses (that sounds so weird).
M=400
P=200
G=0
100%
1600 dance points
M=600
P=0
G=0
100%
1800 dance points
Both 100% but the second is a higher score.
