I can pass presto presto piano concerto double on keyboardmania (hardest BY far) and AAA xenon, quasar, A, V, and most other iidx songs. |

I just started getting into KBM. I picked up the controller and 1st Mix off EBay a few weeks ago for $85 with shipping and so far the game seems like a lot of fun. I'm still having a little trouble moving from one end of the keyboard to the other but my fingers are getting used to where they have to go when the notes are close together.
Right now, the best I can clear is Henry Henry on Normal Mode but I guess I'm still getting used to the game. |

I can do Henry Henry on Light +, but the best I can do on Real so far is....
Ride the Light, Hear My Love Song, Mighty Guy, and Beyond the Ocean. I think that's pretty good for playing....for 3 months, if that =^.^=
Gotta buy a set from Ebay or something though...when I get back North they don't have Keyboard or Guitar... _________________

Okay, I was thinking of getting the Keyboard Mania 2nd/3rd mix, and using my regular keyboard to play it (my friend says this is possible) but I don't know how, I think I need to get a special cord.
Can someone please elaborate? Would it be worth getting the cord or should I just get an official controller? _________________

Only certain USB Yamaha keyboards are compatible with it.
So unless you have those already, stick with the original keyboard. _________________

I respect V a lot more than I used to... Freaking painful on the fingers... And Kakumei too... Oh hell, most of the DJ Taka songs are a lot funner, and harder, on KBM.
I can't say too much about the KBM original songs, they're not as cool as I thought they were going to be. Though Saber Dance causes me to want to do everything but play the game. Prance around a piss off a buncha' bees...
I've seen KBM Yamaha... But the fact is, I don't use a Yamaha keyboard, so it isn't exactly worth it to me. I was going to buy it in Japan, but DDR seemed more calling at the time...
And of course, KBM definately sharpens your IIDX skills if you don't mash... _________________

Huh?
The only Taka song on KBM is Frozen Ray. I don't know where you're getting V and Kakumei from. _________________

There was a V on DoReMiMania, but I don't recall Kakumei on either. _________________

They could do sooooo much with a Keyboardmania 4th mix now, considering how ridiculously difficult they've decided to make the higher end of all these games now.
Seriously, piano gets to be insanely difficult, and is still widely recognized; you could put all sorts of stuff like sonatas (the Moonlight Sonata? The stuff from Classic4 on Pop'n?) and ragtimes and whatnot in there, and people would believe that it's supposed to be just part of the game, after all, look at Carezza Another. And now there's TONS of crossovers that can be made. I'd play V on KBM, I can see how it'd be already, and it looks awesome. I'd play Kakumei too, and pretty much anything can be keyboarded.
What were they thinking cancelling this line?! It has so much potential, ESPECIALLY when you hook it up to DM and GF. DAMMIT, I WANT TO SEE HOME SESSION MODE AVAILABLE BEFORE I'M DONE WITH BEMANI!!! _________________

I guess what I don't understand is why they chose not to Triple session some already existing songs. Such as:
Akumajo Dracula Medley - This would have easily been the best session song ever...and the most played. Guitars and Drums are brought out clearly in the OST version so why was this not a part of the songlist?!
Ride on the Light - Again, why this wasn't included I'm not sure. This version was too slow perhaps?
Truth - Okay, this might not be the best choice but the Guitars and Drums are there. This could work but not before some editing.
Hear My Love Song - This song screams session mode all over it. I wonder if it just couldn't be licensed for some reason to KBM 3rd Mix.
I also have reason to believe that two other songs were planned for Triple Session but were cut for some reason, and those are Right on Time and Carnival Day. Anyone who has (or has access to) the GF5/DM4 Original Soundtrack will find at the very end of the CD these songs except they are done on a keyboard. I'm not terribly impressed with Carnival Day's cut, but Right on Time would sound very cool if sessioned.
All in all, I think it was Konami's fault that Triple Session didn't work out. They didn't session enough songs (that were good) and when GF6/DM5 came supporting the Triple link again there was nothing new added to the lineup because there was never a release of a KBM 4th. My one wish is that whenever there is a GF/DM the FINAL, they will bring out a KBM the FINAL to go with it or at least bring back the Triple link for arcades that still have a 3rd Mix with them. |

Would have??? Phuck, this is what I want to see on 4th mix! We're taking this straight to the TOP!
V (V! V! V! V!)
Kakumei
Rondo Alla Turque (Mozart)
Carezza Long (you know you want it ~_^)
Something by Chopin... the one where it's 80 or so BPM and it's all 5-note chords
There's more! I'll update later. _________________

I see very little difference in DoReMi and keyboard mania, so I call it KBM because... well, I play on a music keyboard, and the skills I learn also transfer over to the real machine...
The website with all the songs has released 7 versions of Kakumei for those who didn't know, it says new next to them so I guess not everybody would... But I suppose everybosdy knows that Absolute and Abyss are on DoReMi... I hope...
I wanna play insertion on DoReMi... _________________

Least 333 = 60 seconds of absolutely nothing but boring crap. No, really, that intro? How long does it take for the actual song to start? Bah.
V = God, every fanboys' dream. I'm sorry, but can we talk about something else BUT V? It's like, one of the only classical songs any Bemani fanboy knows. Besides Kakumei. And maybe a few others.
And then Winter AND V? That makes no sense; it's the same damn song. Besides, I don't remember Winter being for piano, but rather for violin (unless there's some piano arrangement...which would make it practically V anyway).
Dual Edge: I always thought those were just "special" tracks they did, just for like an "OMAKE" sort of thing, rather than previews? They seem kinda tooooo easy to make it a KBM arrangement...? _________________
