He's correct for PPP 2nd Mix, that mix does have a "bouncing" CG girl dancing that shows the routine. On all the other previous mixes the game only shows arrows so people would have no idea what the routine is. |

It noticed the CG girl does not always perform the moves identical to the routines. I suppose the graphics and the engine of PPP 2nd are not up to par to do the job. Just curious... why did they toss in the CG characters? Anyone know where I can find pics of them? Cosplay madness is starting to take hold of me. _________________

The routines are slightly off because it is difficult to capture every movement in a motion capture suit, they did the best they could. They used Richie from the PPP video series as the dancer and captured her movements. One possible reason the designers decided to add CG dancers to help with routines is that the optional DVD video cabinet was too expensive for some arcade owners to buy and show routines on. This cabinet is synchronized with the game to show the routine while playing but it is hella expensive. Instead of this designers probably thought owners would be happier with a CG dancer in the back showing routines. Lastly a place where you can find the pictures??? Try searching around the Konami PPP website. http://www.konami.co.jp/am/para/index.html |

I had played Para Para Dancing in the mall almost 2 years ago and thought it was fun and now that I have a JPS2, I decided to get the home version of Para Para Paradise.
I got the game and the controller in the mail today.
So far, the game seems like fun but the controller is really sensitive, picking up the slightest movement over a sensor so I am constantly triggering 2 sensors at once, not that it really matters though.
It almost reminds me of Samba De Amigo but without maracas of course. The songlist seems kind of limited with about 20 songs but I guess I'll have to find out if that is a problem later on since I may get bored with the game. But since I only paid $65.50 for both the controller and the game (got to like Ebay for the great deals) even if I do get bored with the game, I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it. |

It's really fun with friends over. If you want try to get a second controller and then invite friends over to play against in the 2 player mode. |

I would consider it but I haven't had any friends come over to my house to play video games in almost 2 years so I probably would never use the 2nd controller much. My friends all go away to school and don't live at home so I don't get to see them that often. |

Yeah I am toying with getting a second controller. As of now, I am the only person in my area that actually plays it "alot" and with zeal. _________________

Can you be a little bit more specific?
You want to buy an arcade machine or do you want to buy the home version? Do you want to know where you can get routines or just locations on where to play? |

Er...stupid n00b question, but does the home version have the girl to follow along with too? _________________

I think there is a code that you can put in, think it's called P-Movie, which plays the PPA, Parapara All-Stars, in the background so you can follow them.
(from paraparastage.com)
-Access Option Menu = Random, Hidden, Sudden, Mirror, and Hi-Speed: On song selection screen, hold down left and right until option screen appears.
-Expert Another Option = On song selection screen, press left, right, left, right quickly. You should hear a sound indicating that the code has been put in.
-P-Movie Mode = On the song selection screen, hold left and right. Choose your options and then exit the menu. You should see an option called P-Movie.
These are all the codes for PPP for the PS2. It isn't the "bouncing" CG girl in the 2nd mix but it is the official PPP dancers instead. |

In Practice mode, you can turn the movies on. It's a regular option. And yeah, like the previous poster said, it's the actual PPA dancers, not the CG girl. So you can just play it in there.
It's not really "stupid" to memorize the routines. The girl does them, sure, but if you just try to follow her, you won't look as good. _________________
