I like System S.F. I like the music SOTA does, but one thing bothers me. All he does is remixes nowadays. Drop the Bomb, Midnite Blaze, Paranoia, all remixes. They sound good, but I know there was a time when SOTA made orginal songs such as Look to the Sky and Kind Lady. Do any of you also wish he'd dish out something original sometime?

First off, I'm not aware of a remix of Paranoia that SOTA did. But he has done original stuff. System S.F., yes, but don't forget Do It Right. He's not the lead composer, that's why he doesn't have the impressive song resume that Naoki has.

Uh, he has a brand new song on Party Collection. Actually, he has a bunch of new songs on Party Collection. Only Can Be Real is playable, though. But yeah, he did Bamboo Village1, Bamboo Village2, Mirror Ball Pop, Laid Back Hop, and... I think that's it. But yeah, he did a bunch of the system music on Party Collection. And as for Sota doing Paranoia remix, there's rumors of him doing Respect, but all the others were done by either Naoki or 2MB (except for Eternal, that was done by STM.)

2MB, Naoki, and STM are all Naoki I believe.

As is often the case with in-house Konami artists, Sota tends to use different pseudonyms for different styles of music. For example, all of his System S.F. songs have a similar sound (crap). Songs done as SOTA usually sound completely different (less crappy).

2MB is not Naoki either. He also goes under the name U1 Asami.

STM is a very good DDR player who won a contest in Japan to compose the new Paranioa for 5th mix.

2MB is indeed U1-Asami, not Naoki like too many people think.

And what's wrong with SOTA's Sys. S.F. songs?

Here is a list of songs Sota is responsible for:

A Stupid Barber
Can Be Real
Do It Right
Do It Right (Harmonized 2-Step Mix)
Do It Right (80's Electric Mix)
Drop the Bomb (System SF Mix)
Dynamite Rave (Down Bird Sota Mix)
I Need You
I Need You (Insideout Door Mix)
Groove
Groove 2001
Kind Lady
Kind Lady Interlude
Look to the Sky
Look to the Sky (True Colors Mix)
Look to the Sky (Trance Mix)
Paranoia ~Respect~

Here are songs I'm not sure about (Probably Not):
Scorching Moon
Try 2 Luv U
Un Deux Trois

So he's been busy. It's hard to complain about Konami making remixes as a majority of their songs have a remix out there or have inspired another song.

Aside from the fact that they all suck? Honestly, Look to the Sky is ok...stupid generic trance, but it was on Konamix, so I have a soft spot in my heart for it. Everything else though....ugh. System S.F. songs take everything that is bad about trance (which is a lot) and manage to condense all that badness into 1:40.

Nope, sorry. These three are by Sho-T, aka Shoichiro Hirata.

Shawn the Horny Master is another Shoichiro Hirata pseudonym...not sure about the other two.

Okay, that's your opinion, but other people really like System SF/SySF/whatever Konami's calling him now, and that's our opinion.

Yes, Sho-T <> Sota

According to the official Extreme CS website, Try 2 Luv. U = by Sota (where did he go wrong?). Un Deux Trois <> by Sota.

Is Paranioa Respect by SOTA? It sounds more like an L.E.D. song to me...

At no point did I claim it was anything more than my opinion (which is almost always right).

Meh. Try 2 Luv U is a good song. And like I said, he went wrong every time he decided a song should have a trance remix. There are exactly zero times when a song should have a trance remix: .
