my arrows look like turtles. so when I do well they get zapped and punish all who make DDR spinoffs. It's great because in thte news they just say:
"Game producer randomly eaten by giant red, blue, yellow, and green turtles. more at 11..."

The screen on every DDR machine is just a projector for a camera under the arrow platform. What you're seeing are a rare underground species that is attracted to the music of the DDR machine, Konami only made Dance Dance Revolution for people to imagine they're dancing, but when they encountered these creatures they decided to exploit them for profit. I'm surprised Green Peace isn't all over this!

I think when you Gr/P/Ma the arrows, they get TELEPORTED to Heaven, and the ones you Go/B/Mi fly into space and suffocate.

Someone somewhere keeps a record of every arrow you let escape, and when you die, before you're sent to Heaven or Hell, you must finish up your unfinished business is the form of a long, repeating song until you get them all. Of course, this is also the type of thing I imagine for when you skip over parts of books, or leave the TV on without actually watching it...

Here's what I think:

When you hit the arrows, they are zapped to a place similar to the Garden of Eden. However, if you miss, they suffer a terrible fate which I cannot even begin to describe. I must become better at DDR to save more arrows. I must atone for the evils I committed against the arrows as a newbie.
