|
|
Hey, I recently bought Gitadora (guitar freaks 4th, drummania 3rd), and I have a yamaha DD-55, my question is, using the UX-16 MIDI-USB adapter, what am I supposed to do to make the game recognize the drum kit as a controller?? I know it says how to in the book, but downside is that I can't read Japanese, so if anyone here has done this, please let me know how to do it, thank you |

There's something in the Options menu that lets you change the controller to a DD-55 or DTXpress. Poke around, and you'll probably find it.

Yeah it's in Key Config, however that is in japanese too, and I need to know what MIDI settings I need to put my drums (I think), so that the game recognizes it, maybe I'll just cut my losses, and buy a topway drum controller |

Lonewolf:
I answered the question in the other thread here
From what I hear, the Topway controller isn't great for playing, especially the bass. Probably better off sticking with the DD55?
By the way is Guitardora a PS2 game? If it is, then I probably can't help you. I'm pretty sure it will work with DTXMania tho.
DTXmania is automatically set to recieves MIDI signals. You have to set it manually with Bandjam. |

Here are some pretty sick videos by a guy in japan:
100 sec ext: A
Children's Skechbook: S
Timepiece Phase II: Hidden/sudden mode!! |
How come Timepiece phase II was on the 1st Stage, not Premium Encore Stage? _________________

Hey everyone -
I was poking around one day, looking for an ASC (hah, ASC for DM...) and stumbled across this.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=462102&sku=B133-1058
I'm wondering if DM will recognize it; apparently it only has USB-out, but it also mentions its "9 trigger inputs"... makes me think I could easily cannibalize a PSX controller and wire it that way, if Gitadora doesn't recognize the BAFO USB.
Anyone heard of this, or have any recommendations? (I can't afford the DTXpress! T_T)
edit: oh, and DTXmania says rather explicitly that it supports this set. \o/ there's hope if Gitadora falls through! _________________

I think if you can unlock Timpiece using the e-amusement card system if you manage to get enough points on your card.
It would be impossible otherwise to get Timepiece on DM because 97% perfect on Agnus Dei / Cockpit Ext is just impossible. the only other way would be to link with GF (which was not the case in the video).

Where does it say it? That set would be quite a bargain if DTXmania supports it. _________________

Yes, as long as it's the Korean version of Guitar Freaks.

What's the code to unlock Daikenkai, out of breath, VOIDDD, and all that for Drummania 8th Mix? We (unfortunately) got it now in our local arcade... _________________

(Taken from here)
1. Enter Service menu
2. Highlight Game Options
3. Enter the following code:

...or...
Guitar Freaks: Hold P2 R + B, press P1 Start
4. Put in these two passwords:

Did they revise the songs' rankings for GF10/DM9? Or are they still the same as GF8/DM7 and GF9/DM8? |

I've heard they changed some of them again. Way to raise the bar, Konami O_o

Yeah, The Least 100 Seconds Extreme is probably down to about an 18 now.
(That's a lot of sarcasm, if you didn't notice.)

Concerning the "Soul Drummer" set.
edit: Hm, but it says it's from Taiwan and they're taking counter-measures against it cause there's been a barrage of them lately... wtf...
If nothing else, I'm cannibalizing the hardware and hooking up a PSX controller to it. Booya, corporations. _________________

Dear Lord. [/Doctor Hibbert voice]
Seriously, I hope it's not like a Gf/Dm 6th/5th to 7th/6th change. Y'know totally revamped numbering. remember the first time you expected a level 70 on DM 6th? And you thought you knew what a level 70 was |

Psyching myself up to play Drummania again on Sunday (PF 3rd in Chicago Ridge! Woo!) and I thought of poking this thread for song suggestions. I can pass a couple 6's...I remember passing Crunchy Nuts Real pretty easily, and barely passing Heaven is a '57 Metallic Grey Real. I wanna be able to pass Haru~Spring Expert Real by the time I leave. |

Boo why Sunday, I might be able to make it, but not until like 5 =/
Haru ~spring~ isn't really hard. Once you get it down, it's fun

Now from what I read on the first page of the FAQ, I can go out and buy any electronic drum set and plug it into a midi port on my comp. and play any emulated drummania. Has anyone tried to do this and if so, how did it go? Thanks guys. |
It went wonderfully. I have a Hart Dynamics Prodigy drum set with a MIDIKiti interface (instead of the Alesis DM-5 or whatever the full set usually comes with), and I play DTXMania on my PC (routed out to the TV, whoo!). Aside from only have background animations on *.dtx files (I wish From [the DTXMania coder] would code DTXMania to allow avi's to play with GDA files) and not having nonstop (as of version 0.49c), it's sooo much better than the arcade (sensitive and responsive pads that haven't been beaten to hell by five year olds on crack, and not having to worry about losing a favorite song if the arcade ever upgrades... plus, I can play songs not released on Drummania if I want [MACHO GANG!!]).
I can also configure the drumset layout, so I can actually play crosshanded. It really makes some songs soooo much easier (anything with lots of hihat hitting), since I'm not lefthanded. |
