Actually my friends seem interested, well some of them, I actually got an online friend of mine into it. Sort of surprised me, cause I remember saying "I"m gonna go ddr later" then he asks me what it is, so I sat there explaining, showed him some cool folks doing some ddr, and some who had some slight bloopers. Then I showed him the game pictures and so forth. He's like the only one that's down to earth with me when it comes to ddr.


As far as I'm concerned race has nothing about how good you are. *nods* You see, it's what YOU can do. Don't say it cause " I'm good cause I'm this and that" saying that is like saying. " I'm better then you and will always be". Youre trying to put yourself on top of someone by trying to make them feel inferior. I've seen people like that, and all I do is laugh cause of their stupidity. Actually I'm neither asian or I'm white. I'm glad for who I am and thats what counts, my race has nothing to do with my stamina or how good I am at anything. It's my mind and my heart, " mind over matter" thats all that should concern me. You can do it if you put your mind to it, and stop telling yourself that you can't all the time, and keep going.

out of me and all my friends i'm the only one that actually likes to do anything that involves moving more than four muscles at any givin time if anymore moving is involved they consider it stupid and a waste of time so obviously my friends think it's stupid that i play. my friends also think they can beat me up just because they can sneak up on me and hit me Oh wow you hit me when i was almost asleep you sure are strong.

When we went to Craigs Cruisers in grand rapids (they didnt have DDR, only pump) they were supporting me when I played that cheering me on and stuff, so its all good

Most of my friends who don't play ddr think it's alright to play it. I constantly share accomplishments and interests in and they seem semi-fully interested and never really criticize me. No calls me white, because that's obvious.

Where I play ddr all these annoying people come back from bowling (the arcade is in a bowling alley) and start doing annoying things like running all over the arrows and screaming and saying how dumb the game is. It gets very annoying.

hehe yeah azn's piss me off too. Most of them around the Boston area are ghetto black wannabe's. Although most of them tend to be vietnamese and cambod's. But there is a large population of chinese here that is azn too. But i wouldnt say anything to them about cause alot of them are in the triad lol

My friends that aren't into it don't give me hard time about it. Usually when they see you bust out a 9-footer, they have a bit more respect for the game, and they leave it at that.

It's weird, you get people that are genuinely not interested in the game at all - you could do Max 300 doubles, and they wouldn't blink (weird eh?). While you get people that go out of their way to mock the game while you're playing, and they seem to do it because they're in awe of the game and can't figure out how you move so fast. So they mock instead.

yeah some of my friends do that in which all of the above especially this guy i know(wont mention his name). He claims that he was "the master" of ddr and said that he is still better than me even though he doesn't play anymore. He said that he could play maxx unlimited on standard and get a A and play some heavy songs. i dont believe him i have to see to believe.People say its dumb and pointless but i say not to me and i ask them if they can even play. Then when they try to play a song on beginner or light they fail... some people just need to BACK OFF!!! but there's the supportive type of people who got your back when you need them and the ones to cheer u on.

I have just gotten into DDR in the last 2 months, and my friends say all that stuff to me. Although a few closer friends have actually gotten into the game because of me =). I was at my bro's college as a geust today, and they had a 5th mix machine in the arcade/pool hall. There were alot of ppl around. It was obvious no one knew how to play and didnt want to, because the machine was muted. So i played. I think ppl were getting pissed cuz it was really loud. It really pissed me off though cuz most of the ppl in there were laughing at me cuz they were too cool to even try it. I was A'ing standard songs and getting laughed at! But they didnt even understand how i was reading the arrows. A group of black guys came up after laughing at me for a good 5 minutes and started asking me how i can do it. It really pissed me off so i told them to figure it out and i left. Sry if this is racist/stereotype but the black guys are too cool and arrogant to give anything a chance but rappers talking about getting buttocks and poppin' caps.
