Not just that one, but half the phone numbers have 573 in them, and the P.O. Box. That is funny. _________________

In case someone here didn't know, 573 spelled out in Japanese would be "Go Na Mi"... aka Konami. _________________

Wouldn't it be Go Nana San? Unless you want to cut off the extra "na" and replace the "san" with it's counter (For days, things) which is "mistu" and "mikka".
I'm only in Japanese 2 though, so I guess I haven't learned enough to see the correlation. _________________

Yeah it's like kind of like a shorthand way of saying the numbers... I'm not really the best one to explain it.
It's kind of like, Kanji is pronounced differently if you use it in different words... kinda like that, that's why 3 would be miinstead of san. Like how the kanji is pronounced as Mitsu in oh.... Mitsubishi... but when you use the shorthand it's just Mi. Eh, kinda weird. _________________

573 == "GONAMI" which is close enough to Konami.
It's a Japanese thing, they like to do stuff with phone numbers based making words with the numbers. Sort of like "1-800-YOU-SUCK". |
