My BNS Extrete DX pad came with a convertor that connects PS2 controllers to a port on the back. I think it's the printer port...Anyway, does anyone know if I can get this to work with Stepmania somehow?

Well, can you get a picture of it or something? If you have XP I can get you a driver (I think).

Thanks, That driver's pretty useful. One more thing. It doesn't register when I hit left and right or up and down at once. The stepmania site says something about ignoring joy axes, but that doesn't even seem to be an option. any advice?

Use this driver. You can disable axis mapping in the configuration menu.

Doesn't work...Guess I'll just have to wait for my USB adapter to come in the mail.

"For Windows 98 and Windows Me users, the recommended driver is DirectPad Pro 5.0 for Win9x. For Windows 2000 and Windows XP, the recommended drivers is NTPad XP. PSXPAD is not able to map the PlayStation D-Pad to joystick buttons. For the latest versions of these drivers, visit Aldo's Tools."

I read it, and ot doesn't really help my situation. DirectPad Pro won't let me hit left-right or up-down simultaneously, and the other two listed don't work at all because I'm missing a file called "newdev.dll".

did you go into the configuration settings for DirectPadPro? You have to disable axis mapping, or you get the joystick-axes-can't-be-in-two-places-at-once problem.

Okay, sorry for being an idiot, but help me out here. I have the 5.0 version, It's set to PSX digital. The only configuration I see is under the control panel and gaming options. But I don't see anything about axis mapping.
