hi, im new to the forums....
i had not too long ago bought a pack, that came with DDRMAX, and two playstation 2 non-slip mats. the ones that say they're extra thick, but anyways..
if only used the game for about 2 days, and one of the pads wont work. when i plug it in, and put in the cd, the lights on the top of the pad light up fine, but nothing happens on the screen. is it something wrong with my pad, or the game? i have no idea what to do! erm.gif please help...

Welcome to the boards happy.gif

I'd say if it's the one pad that's doing it then it's just the one that has a problem. Typically soft mats don't last long, especially when playing the higher difficulty. My soft pad lasted me about 5 months with very minimal play and all on light. You may want to look into modification of your other soft pad before it ends up in the same shape as the other. The soft pad thread I'm sure would have a few suggestions on doing such.

how cheap were the pads? it was not an official bundle, right? since it quit working so soon and so abruptly, I'd say the pad's electronics got fried by static. That would be ONE CHEAP PAD, though.

My good friend D.D.arrr.Pirate that is on the forums got one of those pads a month ago and plays 2 hours or more a day. Nothing at all is wrong with it. If it is your pad that is messing up try plugging the pad in after the game loads. I have to do that with my brand new Metal RO pad. SO i think it is you got a difective pad and should turn it in for a new one.

Also be careful how/if you store your pad. I had a pad that I always folded wrong so it messed up after a few months. All my soft pads are still in working order since April, except the one that I stepped on the top area and crushed the circut board, but thats 'cause I was clumsy. Eventually you may want to invest in a metal pad and just replace the simple parts the may or may not ever wear out.

Yeah, I can't remember where, but it tells you to always unplug when done playing. Its something with the control box circuitry I'm guessing.
