Hot damn! I just cleared V [7] on emulator! First time ever!
I seriously can't wait to play this game in the arcade. I know that emulators can't even begin to compare to the arcade, but I wanted to get past the initial stage of just learning how to read the notes. Now that I can do it, I can finally go play the real deal without fear of completely failing! Muhahaha!
...Yeah, this sounds lame, but I NEVER thought I'd be able to pass V [7], even on emulator. My fingers and brain are apparently not built for complex finger movements (one reason I never got very good at the saxophone, even after nine years of practicing three times a week -- gives you some idea how bad my dexterity is). I first tried it on emulator two years ago, and vowed to pass it in the arcade someday. This is just the first step. _________________

That's always struck up a question for me.
Is V easier with two hands? I've always thought it was, because I play it all the time, and I figured I'd get farther that way.
But everyone here (who plays 2 handed) says it's hard and can't pass it. Now, granted, that they haven't been playing IIDX for an eternity, but I always thought it wouldn't be so much of a chore... _________________

It seems to me that IIDX is always easier with two hands. That Lisu guy probably just has his brain wired for incredible dexterity, most likely because he started playing piano at an early age. A friend who watched his one-hand B4U AAA video says that he can spot a piano hand there.
V [7] seems rather easy for a 7+. Although it could be because I can get used to certain note patterns while sucking at others. For instance, I can't figure out how to do quick across-the-keyboard patterns, alternating white with black while moving left to right (Linus or Kakumei), but I'm pretty good at hitting three- or four-key sets with one hand (Bit Mania or Jelly Kiss). V has a lot of those clumps of multi-key hits, so I suppose I have an advantage there.
Or something. _________________

There was this dream I had where I was at an arcade waiting for a DDR tournament to begin, and in this dream, I saw a IIDX machine, except it was 11th style. Ver.2 and Nikari were in this dream as well, and they invited me to play IIDX. I said to them "But it's been a very long time since I last played IIDX. My main experience is with Beatmania on 5 key. Am I really good enough for IIDX? The best I've been able to do is 4s on IIDX." They said to me "Of course you're good enough. You should be able to pass the songs that were done by you at least." This surprised me. So I played, and while I was scrolling through the song list in free play mode, I saw this song called Mirror Force, and I saw that it was done by me. The song was a 7, it was 153 BPM, and it had kind of a technoish beat with some trance elements. Surprisingly I passed the song.
This dream is probably telling me that I should create this song so that it will make it into 11th style. I still remember some of the note patterns that I saw from this song in the dream, so I'd imagine it wouldn't take too long. _________________

Yes, the VJ Army ranking page is total freshness. I really really like it.
*cough*
Deadline L7's note count still needs to be fixed though. it has 335 notes.
EDIT: and Sometime L7 has 393 notes, not 452 _________________

And when they ask you why oh why you did it... you can tell them it came to you in a dream.
It could work. _________________
