It depends on how tall you are. Everyone's gonna say they're the perfect height, because that's what their used to. |

i'm 5'8 and i'm only 14 and i'm not done growing so i guess i won't ever qualify for the perfect height.(i'm a girl too so i'm going to be a giant!) |

Whatever is comfortable. I know a guy that is like 7 feet... he plays perfectly. Almost. _________________

Because larger bodies don't move as quickly as smaller bodies (look at the NBA... who's quicker, Shaq or Iverson?) |

Well, I'm 5' 7" as well and I'm pretty quick, but then you've got people like Seth (Homowankenobi) who are pretty tall and big guys but are still amazing at DDR, so I don't think there's a definite perfect height. _________________

Well, I'm about 6'5 and while I sometimes I feel I'm too big. Although it is less of a problem for me to get around the pad on doubles, I do have to through more mass around which in turn makes it harder for me. Also, I'm a 'lil tall to rape the bar comfortably... _________________

Well, taller people have longer legs and longer strides, but its not about running, its about moving around quickly, so I would say the skinniest short guy is due to be good in DDR. Im 5'7" but fat at like 175 and all that does is just make my legs get stronger so, meh.
Whatever, Im having fun. _________________

I'm around 5' 4" by my last measurement, but I've not stopped growing as of yet, so I think that I'll end up around 6', maybe a little less. Also, I'm kinda tubby at 155 lbs. It really doesn't seem to affect my playing, though. I know another guy who's about 6'8" and he plays about exactly as well as I do. _________________

I'm 5'7, but I don't think that theres such thing as a perfect height when it comes to DDR. _________________

Woo! Second shortest in the thread and so far I think the lightest at about 5'5" maybe 5'6" and 135. I have no idea what the perfect height would be though. |

Hmm...I'm about 5'2" or 5'3", and I think DDR would be a little easier if I was taller. Sometimes crossovers and such are really tiring from moving across that far, but for someone taller it might just be like normally stepping.
But considering that DDR was made for the Japanese, I would assume really tall people weren't what Konami had in mind. So about 5'5" - 5'7" does sound like an ideal height. _________________
